SWINDON Town failed to make it consecutive victories once again after a rudderless display saw John Sheridan’s men lose 1-0 at home to Shrewsbury Town.
In the first half of a particularly scrappy affair at the County Ground, a sensational volley from Harrison Chapman settled the game in the visitors’ favour and saw Swindon drop back into the League One relegation zone on goal difference.
A rare win for Shrewsbury in Wiltshire was just the club’s second in 20 attempts – a run stretching back to 1961 – and first since 1995.
Swindon made two changes to the side that beat Wigan Athletic 1-0 on Tuesday night.
