For the first time in a long while, the numbers are moving in the right direction.
Public Health Sudbury and Districts reported just five new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, as well as 53 new resolutions. The active case count has also dropped by 48 to 243.

In contrast, Sudbury reported 38 cases on Sunday, 49 on Saturday, 28 on Friday, and 55 on Thursday.
It was not all good news, however, as Health Sciences North was reporting 10 patients who have been admitted with COVID-19, the highest number in quite some time. Of those 10, two people are in the intensive care unit. Thirteen people — including two in the ICU — are awaiting test results.
