Superintendent Donovan Fisher, married for more than 25 years with three children, is currently District Commander for Central District Saskatchewan — a position he has held since December 2018.
The Nelson Police Board announced Tuesday that Superintendent Donovan Fisher of the RCMP be sworn in early March at the new Chief Constable of the Nelson Police Department.
Superintendent Fisher replaces current Chief Constable Paul Burkart, who is retiring.
“Superintendent Fisher is a highly experienced and accomplished leader known for building strong relationships”, said John Dooley, Chair of the Nelson Police Board and Mayor of the City of Nelson.
