Va. on Thursday, Sept. 8. The match is set to kick off at 7 p.m. and slated to stream on ESPN+. This marks the fourth time that Clemson and App State will meet with the Tigers leading the series, 3-0. Most recently Clemson beat the Mountaineers in 2012 at Historic Riggs Field, 1-0. Junior forward Izzi Wood and sophomore forward Anna Kate Highsmith lead the App State squad with two points each, as three of their four games have resulted in 0-0 draws. Senior goalkeeper Kerry Eagleston has a team-high 12 saves and three shutouts to her name. The underclassmen impressed against No. 4 South Carolina in Columbia as freshman Maria Manousos registered her first career start and goal while sophomore Sydney Minarik picked up her second goal of the season to help give the Tigers the draw. Sophomore Renee Lyles has started right where she left off after an impressive freshman campaign, earning her first brace of the season against Campbell while also adding an assist to a no-look goal from senior Caroline Conti. She followed that performance up with a goal and an assist against Western Carolina for a team-high eight points. Hal Hershfelt quickly joined her after registering a brace of her own against Western Carolina. Freshman Emily Brough has scored a goal in two straight games while Megan Bornkamp added two assists against the Catamounts to tie Renee Lyles for a season high.
