Lexington councilman moves his business to uptown district

Lexington City Councilman Joe Watkins decided to walk his talk this year when he moved his formerly home-based information technology business to uptown Lexington.
As a long-time proponent and encourager for business owners to move into downtown, especially minority-owned businesses, Watkins moved into his new location at 17 East First Avenue in January.
"You got to walk the talk you are speaking," he said. "I can't be an advocate for bringing minority businesses here if I am not here."
