Lexington City Councilman Joe Watkins decided to walk his talk this year when he moved his formerly home-based information technology business to uptown Lexington.
As a long-time proponent and encourager for business owners to move into downtown, especially minority-owned businesses, Watkins moved into his new location at 17 East First Avenue in January.
You got to walk the talk you are speaking, he said. I can t be an advocate for bringing minority businesses here if I am not here. ....
