The other non lifethreatening injuries. Now, look at the video. You can see that we shot earlier when we arrived on the police here has strong presence surrounding the school. You can see combs also making sure that nobody inters inside of the school, but they also tell us that the suspect or suspects right now, theyre not exactly sure how many fled the school after the stabbing. Now that school went into lockdown in just right down the street. You have alum rock youth center. We went over there. They also went into lockdown. So this whole area or all of the schools went into lockdown just to make sure while police tried to catch this suspect or suspect for this stabbing. As of right now, weve reached back out to police and we have not heard any update. We also reached out to the School District. The School District tells us that they are cooperating with this investigation. And as you can see back out here it is still on lockdown here at this school. Now, another issue that were working with is there is some video floating around social showing that there was a fight before hand. But we dont have that verified. But that is some video that we have been seeing. This school, as you can see, school done for the day police are still here. Its their get that lockdown has lifted. But there is still a heavy Police Presence here. Why try to figure out exactly what happened, how 2 juveniles got staff just 2 weeks into the school year. Were live here in san jose. Justin campell kron. 4 news just in that will school be open tomorrow. Mention anything about that. In the press release sent out by the district. And you know, if there are a metal detectors at that school. Thats one thing that we are trying to figure out that get clarity from police on exactly. Didnt go to the school or did they not go to the school . We dont know at this point. Thats something that will come later throughout this investigation. And as far you know, metal detectors, he doesnt appear that there are metal detectors at this school. But thats something that the district will have pass that question along to them. Fair enough. We still do not know that officers name only that she remains in critical but stable condition tonight at Santa Clara Valley medical center. And this all began yesterday morning when she and her partner were approaching the home on ausar ias avenue or when that suspect allegedly opened fire. Authorities say when she was hit, her partner pulled her out from the line of fire and the suspect was then apprehended after a 4 hour standoff. No other injuries have been reported and that officer is the first female officer ever to be shot while on duty with the San Jose Police department. The fbi, you surveillance and Tactical Forces just like any arrest. It took 100 fbi agents to make a successful arrest of those 9 people. And this is 2 years of investigation. They said there are 4 indictments. As i mentioned, College Fraud indictment. That was thats alleging that 6 officers claimed credit of College Credits alleging that they hired people to attend those classes for them. Another one of the charges, steroids, distribution that involves allegedly 2 officers and then obstruction indictment alleging one officer interfered with a wiretap and then civil rights indictment that has to do with the Text Messages that we have been talking about for months between 3 officers bragging about injuring and using a k 9 on a suspect or multiple suspects describing violence against them alleging are going as far as threatening mayor lamar thorpe who is black civil rights Attorney John Burris has talked with us about this. We have been covering this for months and today were finally getting all of the details. Again, we heard from fp the fbi and we hear from u. S. District attorney ramsey both saying that now they must be able to prove their case against these people explaining why these indictments were of such high priority. The defendants also allegedly shared photos of their victims injuries. And even collected as mementos spent ammunition from their attacks on the people of antioch. Collectively, these 4 indictments described group of officers who acted as though they were above the law. The operations today make clear that no one is above the law. The fbi and our partners absolutely committed. To protecting the civil rights of members of our communities. And in a Statement Released today by the mayor of antioch, he said, quote, today is a dark day in our citys history as people trusted to uphold the law allegedly breached that trust and were arrested by the fbi as our city observes this tragic news, we must come together as one. Todays actions are the beginning of the end of a long, arduous process. Now, also told that, well, 9 people have been arrested. 8 have made their initial Court Appearance is, as i mentioned, some of these people were arrested in other cities in other states that that were talking hawaii, texas and other parts of california and a few of them have to then be making their initial parents there and then get transferred over here. Well, theyve San FranciscoCity Attorney asking the California PublicUtilities Commission to now pause the expansion of those companies. Yeah, this comes as the cpu see, gave its ok for unlimited expansion just last week. Kron fours dan kerman reports. One day after the cpc gave cruise and waymo the green light to expand operations. This was the scene in north beach last friday when more than a handful of driverless cruise vehicles came to a stop causing a big traffic backup. Now, San FranciscoCity Attorney has filed a motion asking the California PublicUtilities Commission to put the brakes on that expansion. Weve seen too many reports of safety issues of incidents where the operations of First Responders have been impacts on traffic flow and public challenges around street construction. In the filing, the city of San Francisco wants to pause the unlimited expansion to give the city time to file a motion seeking a new hearing. So the cpu see can address safety issues. The city thinks were overlooked to a very much like them. To stage their expansion and tie it to safety metrics we also think the cqc should have considered environmental impacts under state law. The addition of thousands of Autonomous Vehicles on the streets of San Francisco. What that means in the filing, the San FranciscoFire Department cites 59 instances. Were Autonomous Vehicles have interfered with firefighters since april of last year. Among the incidents failing to yield to fire vehicles, blocking fire vehicles driving over fire hoses and entering active emergency scenes and getting in the way of firefighters granting an unlimited expansion at this stage. Probably a little bit premature. Sam abuelsamid is a transportation analyst with guidehouse insights. I really dont think the technology is really quite mature enough. 2 start putting hundreds or tppotentially thousands of thes vehicles on the streets of San Francisco or any other city for that matter. Both waymo and cruise support. The cpu sees expansion. But in a statement, waymo says we will follow this development closely. And in the meantime, continue providing safe and accessible mobility to san franciscans. Cruz says its unfortunate to see the city use Public Resources to bypass that decision and Restricted Technology with an excellent Safety Record used by 10s of thousands of San Francisco residents. The cpsc says its full panel will address the citys request to pas expansion as soon as practicable. Dan kerman kron, 4 news. Still to come.
