We know its a clear start this morning for a lot of folks on is already shining brightly will notice that right out the yapp time for the shades. Your drive work this morning, especially if youre driving in the direction of that sunlight because it is a much brighter morning indeed. Your view outside over the bay bridge. You got that nice bright sky. There. Really nice to see this. As were starting the day that sunshine later today might be a little too much of it as we do see another scorcher this afternoon. But for now, were really comfortable underneath that. Good morning to enjoy a little bit. Now we are still seeing a lot of thunderstorm activity building up in the Sierra Nevada. Its going to be another day with potentially some afternoon lightning storms up in the sierra. We saw a little bit of that yesterday morning in the east bay right here locally. The reason behind all of this is that same low pressure area. Its really been throwing things off lately been dragging up some moisture rich air from the western coast of mexico right off shore there in the pacific and drying that up on into Southern California in the sierra, especially where thunderstorms have been a regular occurrence. Then yesterday we saw a little bit about that right here in our backyard. More than anything. You just noticed a bit of a muggy feel from all of it. That increased humidity and that low pressure being very responsible for all of it. Now, today were going hold on to the scorching hot temps inland. We still have access to cool air at the coastline. So its a very different tale depending on how close to the water you are definitely a comfortable day for a coastal spots. Well, for inland areas, youve got one more day where temperatures will hang out around 100 degrees, 60s and 70s for your highs and San Francisco and at the coastline. Definitely getting your window with afternoon sunshine. But gray skies for the rest of the day. Some 80s along the bay shore. Thats right. Back up to the nineties for woodside as well as san jose where youll be at 92 degrees inland east bay among her hottest of spots, livermore 98 degrees while danville, concord hovering just below 100 oakland up to richmond are most comfortable spots in the east bay anyways. In the 70s, antioch, in vacaville 100 degree. Plus, numbers for you. Well, santa rosa through center fell in the low 90s. Tomorrows temperatures will be a little cooler only by a few degrees. Well cool little further into the weekend. Its still going to be seasonably warm with upper 80s to low 90s inland. But thats about 10 degrees cooler than where were going to land this afternoon. Bayshore cities will cool from the 80s to just the 70s. Don, thank you for that. While were still pretty light over in the east bay. A long 24. If youre taking that right now, westbound want to put down under 11 thats pretty pretty fast. Sailing. The meteor lights on at the bay bridge. Every time a checkin drive times. Go up. Last time we are at about 15 now. Were at 17 minutes. Richmond center fell bridge 11 minutes tolls to 101, a fouryear slowing down about 35 minutes, antioch, into conquered lets get a look at 101, down in the south and along the peninsula about 38 minutes. 85 up to menlo park.
