Structures a ton by these flames while you are very close will and theres a lot of smoke be careful. There is a big fire. Right behind me im just surrounded by fires, so its almost like picture. Fire and just go ahead and be on television and this is right there that fire that we showed you at 6. 30 continues to burn and it actually is moving from the left to the right of your screen so its moving closer to the hillside you could see theres some headlights coming down here as well not sure of as a firefighter or even a resident, leaving the syria, its gotten darker. Ficker smoke from the last time that you saw me im on Pleasant Valley road and well just walk down here just a try our very best to put you in the pocket where im currently located so you can see it at home and feel the desperation and how bad things are its reaching new vegetation every second and look at this james darya look at the smoke blowing from the right to the left side of your screen thick black smoke. We actually when you last time you saw we were about 50 yards. Ahead of here. But fortunately we move back behind the fire because we had a feeling that it was going to be just like this where we could possibly be stuck. Look at this i could feel the heat. It is burning out of control off in the distance we showed us 6. 30 right next door, some lamas i see some beehives there also on fire at this time so it looks like a bee farm. Also at this could location on the other side of the road. You can see look at this james story i just notice is look has turned the road. It charged the road just from the smoke is well look at this party, the road has turned i like that its moved over here, but the fire is along the ridge line as well will head during a boy youre worrying me i get i can see how its blowing right. But the fear is always you dont know if the winds going to suddenly change directions and blow right toward you whats the other way from you are you protected by like you have theres a fire crew coming through. Theyre coming the other way fire crews on your side too because im worried youre yeah very close. Yes there are fire crews near me as well absolutely i would absolutely and you know it makes a little bit more precarious and we did see james and darya pg e trucks. Heading toward that scene were told that a lot of the lines have already been bindi energize were not hearing all lines but many of the lines rd energized, but of course were not sure so theres always that fear now and we were told by the Police Checkpoint that the lions could possibly come down and we could be trapped in the last thing they need to worry about is our lives since they have their hands full, you can see right there right in the center of your screen that line is dangling theres wilted so its not on the ground but is definitely sagging at this time looking out dry the landscape is and it looks like the wind is starting to pick up as well we showed you at 6. 30 at almost look like a still picture now look at that that tree there that little tree its swinging back and forth so i can feel the wind starting to pick up as well and obviously the fear is it replicates what we saw back in santa rosa, where thi winds just picked the embers up and carried it all over the place keep in mind. The fire didnt start here as you know james and ari didnt start in vacaville is started miles away and napa county and it just jumped the hills and the ridgeline these people for a few days thought well they were safe. Unfortunately in the overnight hours the fire came right at their doorstep we do know that some homes went up in flames. But the good part is i am not hearing of any injuries or any fatalities at this time and just from my. Eyes i havent seen any ambulances rushed to the scene as well so thats always a good sign, but unfortunately look at this it is just its chewing up the land uninhibited and i was wondering as we saw the fire truck come out of the smoke towards you. Have you seen any vehicles because of its reminiscent to me of the evacuations in seeing cars, you know go through. Roads on fire with both sides have you seen anybody evacuating or they long gone. Theyre long gone a fee we did an interview at the top 6 oclock and they decided some of them on their own some of them got knocks at the door by the Sheriffs Department and they took off at around say 4 oclock in the morning. So theyre theyre long gone i dont see anybody leaving this area with like dogs or cats in their car. So this area here well take you to more than neighborhoods and right now from my colleagues from the other Media Outlets they say theres nothing left to see its too dangerous of a pulled out as well so were here or hopefully we gave you a good slice to be in the pocket here the cockpit. So to speak about how just precarious the situation is and i can tell you i can feel the heat. This is a campfire on steroids heat. And its in your report weve seen that tree there begin to catch and the flames beginning to climb up that tree so a bit for too long before that whole thing lights up like matchsticks of be careful out there. Will most certainly come back and get another update from you. After theyve changed location, all right, thanks thought well. Well theres also the hennessy fire to up in napa county thats the fire. The sort of fueling whats burning out near where will isnt here are some of the latest pictures closer towards lake hennessy where we can see certainly the fire is much more intense there. Again all part of whats called the l and you lightning complex. Fires burning in Napa Sonoma Solano counties. The fire has burned more than 10,000 acres, the hennessy fire alone at least 3 structures have been destroyed you can see evidence of that here in the video Officials Say the underbrush is really whats making it hard for firefighters to get a handle on this because its so dense and so thick and so are rural and remote that hand crews having a real tough time hacking their way through it all. And were also keeping an eye on the gamble fire thats also part of the 2 thats on the northern side of Lake Berryessa it also has burned 10,000 acres and look at the video here from hillsides actually just glowing with and that is incredible to see and you can hear. You can hear it even though again and thank god, its not that because that would just be a catastrophe already this is burned 32,000 acre 0 containment. And as we know things can change in an instant and thats why were tracking where all these different fires are we take a look at the map and whats burning where what might merge into what because as we saw they combined a bunch of fires overnight james to kind of get a handle on the areas that theyre working on and so you see we put some markers were some of the newest fires have broken out theres one just west of healdsburg. They call a 13 for fire, but its burning there. Theres also another one just north of jenner up near lake sonoma, so theres a number of fires were following we have kron 4 Sarah Stinson actually shes up in that part of the north bay keeping an eye on the conditions in the situation and boy we can certainly see it the glowing there behind you sarah. Yeah you can i mean youve been able to see the glowing from one to one, but what you dont realize is how deep. This fire is i had to drive all the way west on river road all the way to geyserville thats where i am right guerneville rather guerneville and im here im here excuse me lets get straight to the video really quick because i want to show you what it looks like. But. I had to drive about an hour in and im still 5 to 10 minutes away on sweet water springs road. This is where firefighters are actively fighting the fire. Theyre working hard i talked to a man i had to get gas and he had been fighting the fire all night long he had been fighting it since 01 00pm yesterday, he was exhausted, he said that he personally did not see any homes bernie said a lot of grass is burning a lot of dense woods and thats why it takes so long to get here because its not you know in the town of windsor in the town of santa rose or even guerneville it is so far in ahead a drive at least an hour hour and a half to get here now were talking about 2 separate fires and cal fires calling them to different names once the 13 for fire. Thats burning west of healdsburg its currently 500 acres thats at last check with cal fire were still waiting for an update to come down. Im sure it grew overnight because it just continued to burn south and its still 0 contained then we have the 1116 fire thats north of jenner that fire is currently a a last check 25 acres and 0 contained firefighters are working nonstop to get this under control of course stop it from even heading to homes again im 5 to 10 minutes from the flames, they just want to make sure i give you guys an update so join us in about 20 minutes seventhirty im going to be up there where the firefighters are working right now to put this fire out you can see the haziness behind me and its pretty intense, theres a lot of mandatory evacuations right now and that means you need to leave your home immediately now to know where those are head to our website kron 4 dot com with pro bowl list theres at least like 8 plus mandatory evacuations. The town of guerneville looks like everyones starting to head out in the sheriffs deputies, almost at every mile making sure people leave so all us send it back to you guys for now ill have an update again for you in about 20 minutes all right keep drivein sarah. Thanks a lot and sarah definitely drove to run county on her way there lets take a look at bad. Firefighters tweeted out this chopper video of the smoke billowing over the hells of the Point Reyes National seashore and if you take a look at the video. Well this is to another new picture that sarah just showed us but. We you cant even see point rays in the seashore below the smoke if we take a look at that. Fresh video that we have from the chopper. No structures are threatened at this point in moran, there are 15 acres burning. And theres another look at the map just to give you the idea because we do have Team Coverage of all of the fires that are burning this morning now why dont we head to reyna harvey she is and san mateo and santa cruz counties where that fire is burning and youve got a lot of activity there now reyna. Yeah youre absolutely right here in Scotts Valley, this is where the First Responders are regrouping you can see them theyre having a meeting this morning about their course of action but i actually was talking to some of the residents that live here in Scotts Valley like miss lory some of those that are very close to her have had to leave their home at a moments notice notice, thank you for stopping to talk to you know, its been difficult so hows it been for your loved ones and how are they and how did everything kind of happened well last night we were having a nice dinner at the crows nest and we got our first some people that were up by the boulder big golf course had to evacuate their homes and they zoom down to the lawman. My daughters best friend who lived up in Boulder Creek had to come down and parked there or be nearer home and i have someone staying downstairs at my so theres lots of people that we know that are all us keeping both creek. I saw the numbers at 5,000 i dont know you know the air quality here is just so horrid and and all the cars are covered was set in i cant even imagine what its like up there for that plea for you live in here waking up this morning walking out you know you see all this activity. Firefighters are working around the clock to save lives going what are your well, yeah, i was walking by and wondered if i should even walk this way i always walk the sky park walk yeah, im just so happy that we have this big area and Scotts Valley that you know peaking need that First Responders everybodys always been able to congregate here and get this all worked out. So hopefully theyll theyll get a good handle on this today. I miss lori thank you so much for stopping to talk. Ok again well be here throughout the morning again, this is kind of in the scene thus far the fire broke out as you can imagine, were at 22 evacuations and its about 10,000 acres have burned so thats the updated number we have a list of evacuations on our website at kron 4 so you can find out more information there. Well for the moment, ill send it back to you daryn the studio and the the air quality like this a lorry mention it is very difficult to breathe out here and the First Responders as they get a chance to get their morning. Laid out for them the lot of them are working double shifts because theyre very short staffed area all right, thanks a lot of yeah, it does matter, im james back here in san francisco, wherever you are yeah, you can smell the smoke. And morgan going to look at another hot day. Were fires and its that way and john you said theres a slight sea breeze but yeah so today, a sea breeze going to kick into gear that is much better than those dry winds which push from our inland areas that have resulted in the past and some devastating fires. This is the exact opposite its going to help to push some cooler air in which is welcome of winds of any type though not necessarily ideal this morning as weve all noted, it is smoky out their timber on city under a layer of smoke that is not cloud cover that is haze from fires burning in every single direction, lets zoom in on some of these complexes and show you what winds are looking like in the immediate vicinity, so them. So one of our Fastest Growing complex is up in napa and solano counties right now of course the started a right around Lake Berryessa rapidly expanding towards vacaville during your overnight hours and when you take a look at wind direction its pretty easy to actually see why right around atlas peak. We are seeing a regular winds from 10 to 15 Miles Per Hour right now right out of the northwest. So that is pushing that blaze in a southeasterly direction towards fairfield towards vacaville down into Solano County and it obviously did a lot of growing overnight from the napa area down to the east as for areas closer to the coast and marine and sonoma counties we have multiple fires burning out this direction all the winds are calm right now you are going to see a push of westerly winds picking up this afternoon that could result in the potential spread here, but its also going to help to deepen marine layer, but some nice cool air over place and that is going to cool things off especially close to the coast today were you just serena down along the san Mateo Santa Cruz county line this fire this complex of fires a growing in those Higher Elevations of the Santa Cruz Mountains fortunately winds only really president along the coast near Dearborn Park and even down the mountain view. Its a little on the calmer side right now with calm winds though in sinking air thats where were getting the smoke just settling right into the bay area this morning and were all going to be impacted by as you step outside this wednesday. 60s 70s and even 80s for your current temperatures pittsburgh at 82 degrees right now double in hayward 67 oakland 63 berkeley 69 currently so mild but still, but temperatures warming up as we make our way into the afternoon that is eventually going to take us to these numbers. Heat still a major impact here. Concord antioch morgan hill triple digit heat remains upper 90s a nap at 98 livermore also at 98 80s continue in Oakland Hayward and fremont more details in this forecast. Still ahead james. All right, thank you very much john. Well as we move deeper into fire season. Obviously theres lots to keep you updated on with the wildfires themselves. The heat advisories and warnings the power outages. Lots of information coming into our newsroom that impacts use of download the kron 4 app and well be able to update you as soon as that information comes in cooling centers all of that so if you havent already download the app today. As we head to break. Heres another live look outside again as were tracking the wildfires this morning in the breaking news of evacuations now impacting the city of vacaville well dozens of. Dozens of fires are burning in the bay area and this is just a live look at the smoke and flames probably the most picture of the smoke was seen this morning, you know this is a really amazing to see on the hillside here and it shows you. The rough terrain that the firefighters are dealing with. And then also the fact that these fires are all combining. They all sparked to you know stay away from the lighting we saw couple days ago, and theyre now combining and moving so far. That they have worked their way into a vacaville where people are on the move this morning they had to get out with little notice in the wee hours and 03 04am, with everything they could in the middle of a pandemic you know no less theyre going to Evacuation Centers and friends and families homes. If they can chased out of town by these flames, yeah, no kidding and i think we have a map to as gary mentioned this is moving out towards vacaville. This is the l and you. Lightning complex fires. And you can see how wraparound of the red line is the perimeter of the fire and it wraps around Lake Berryessa and as you can see at the bottom of the screen overnight it just absolutely marched its way through all of the miles and miles and miles of just hills and terrain were hardly anybody lives and now as we wake up this morning. It is on the doorstep of vacaville and now burning in 2 more and more populated area and we have seen structures go up in flames, we know that this is the kind of thing where its changing so fast. We cant really get an accurate count yet. Nobody can theyre going to have to get up there its only been first light for a little while and were seeing continuing. Live shots with the smoke that im sure has made its way probably into your home i know it did in the mine luckily were not seeing huge winds to kind of fan these flames but its bad enough and as you know james one, one fires get raging bad enough they create their own weather in their own ways and thats going to be the next year and so were going to be tracking the winds as you can see it is starting to blow john was predicting the sea breeze which start to come back. And winds in the north bay could pick up this afternoon were starting to see that Horizontal Movement of the winds as it comes up off the hill lines and that smoke begins to blow to the left side of your screen so were going to be visiting with john throughout the morning it could be one of our key. Team members here as we continue our Team Coverage of these fires that are burning all around the bay area from as far north as Lake Berryessa to as far south as Santa Cruz Well have much more coverage coming up. Welcome back 7. 24 on this wednesday morning getting a look outside on what is going to be another hazy day and a hot day ahead of us. You are starting to see some sunshine breaking its way through down into berkeley. No those are not low clouds that is the evidence of all the wildfires burning across the bay area really in all directions around the bay itself putting up all that smoke that is sinking into the bay, so any sort of cloud cover that youre saying is likely going to be coming along with that kind of burning feel to it as youre breathing it in this morning, id definitely stay inside as much as possible. Youve been doing that with this forecast in the ways with our hot it is hope that you have a nice cool place to get to today. Lets take a look at Sonoma County down into Solano County because this is actually where were seeing some of the most rapidly expanding wildfire activity. We have a sonoma that had originally sparked up due to lightning around Lake Berryessa but due to strong winds out of the northwest as you can see a out was here is pushing this fire very fast down into Solano County thats where youre getting issues in fairfield and vacaville with those evacuations and now that fire rapidly expanding that direction due to some pretty persistent winds up in sonoma and solano counties little calmer out along the coastline where were seeing multiple fires in both moran and then also up into sonoma counties we will see winds picking up this direction into the afternoon as the sea breeze kicks into gear thats going to be a similar scenario as to what were looking at in santa cruz and. Other areas further south in the bay which may be calm right now, but winds will be picking up in these areas you see that in the future cast of wind gusts here winds pick up into the afternoon a sea breeze really kicks into gear notably up in sonoma and solano counties into the afternoon. High pressure is in place that is resulting in sinking air. So we have a combination of hot and hazy conditions today as you step outside this is what youre stepping out into the 60s and 70s closer to the coast. A lot cooler in these areas you can think the sea breeze for that 70s and 80s right along the shore of the bay until you get to sing carlos southward we start to see some 90s triple digits hanging on for other parts of the bay such as in morgan hill at a 100 degrees falling from the triple digits back to the 90s and the tri valley danville walnut creek concord 100 degrees or above oakland 83 in vacaville today, 98 degrees pittsburgh, antioch above 100 degrees. Well santa rosa through sandra fell all in the 90s. James back to you all right, thank you very much john well take a quick break. Heres another live look from one of our cameras. Up in Solano County looking at the smoke is a fire continues to advance into vacaville and just coming into our newsroom. The possibility of more sections of vacaville that may be evacuated were going to live interviews here on the phone coming up in the next 10 to 15 minutes keep to the kron 7. 30 back to the breaking news which are the fires that are burning influence saying the bay area whether or not you see smoke and flames you can smell it and it is spreading now were the vacaville is considering new evacuations because of the fire moving in yet for example as to why theyre making that consideration. We want to go out live to a kron fours will tran. Hes been showing us flames that have been slowly chewing through western portions of vacaville will whats the latest. I can tell you the winds have picked up not sure if its Mother Nature or if the fires which we do know create their own wind storm. But it has picked up as far as how things look right now and feel you can see weve been monitoring this fire to the right side of your screen. And absolutely has been chewing up the land every now and then we hear some popping. We do know that this was a bee farm we are seeing believe it or not to pick matters worse bees are flying around now because some bees have gotten out of their beehives their honey comb so theyre getting out in the bees are moving out and about and then you can see some headlights coming in our direction as well let me see if its anybody its an evacuee or somebody who is a homeowner says see if we can talk to somebody right now excuse me sir excuse me are you one of the notice about the property check of im with channel 4 news is live on television can you tell us. Your family how they doing to you know pretty that we know is doing good, and as losses the dow. Where do you live. A little town so is your home, okay, yeah, and you got the word to check on your family or no deal. What is a look down there we were told to stay here in this case the power lines might come down. Youre shaking your head, yeah were not been going on how popular the yeah, yeah yeahs lot of stuff over and over the razor keiki speak a little loudly what what do you say i got family they far far back there in his toast, the neighboring buildings are all burn down the structures are gone its gone, you know my 38 years and i see a little cute girl in the back as a family members. Well yeah, yes with various sir. Thank you so much stay safe, i know that a lot of people are leaving and look at that seesaw we took up their time a little bit and then you can see First Responders are now heading to the scene as well so its a chaotic scene. Fortunately, nobody has. And a tremendously thats the city of vacaville Fire Fighters heading there as well. The fire james and darya at this particular location it is happening underneath. Power poles power lines and fortunately we have not seen any lines go down but we have seen. Then sagging like the one off in the distance right there, it said over the this strange phenomenon has happened as the fire continues to burn i got to tell you about 7. 15 the cows were way over there you might be able to make some tree make out some trees. There were over there. And as we do know every living thing wants to live so they just migrated look at this james and darya over here as well so now they moved away from the fire probably they just instinctively knew. Breathing was difficult for them to you did not see the cows earlier my live shots now weve been showing you a panoramic view. So now theyre over there. And oh my goodness i just hand over and i looked over that look at that because the fire now its even hotter over that location. It was along the ridge line when we got here at around 6. 30 this morning and now its moving down the ridge line tell you down to the floor here of this farm and look at how dry that land is yeah and and that could this guy that guy by the middle reading is difficult they even told us youre on your own if youre here but were trying our very best to get you a feel of whats going on off in the distance theres a checkpoint. You can see those bright lights flashing lights, those are the firefighters. That are there with the chp officers. It check out my twitter page i was doing a twitter feed and a woman drove by james and ari and i stopped her just like i stop these gentlemen of but a few moments ago, yeah, she brought her elderly mom back in because she convinced the Police Officers that when she left her house at around midnight. They grab the dog, they grab things that they cared about one thing they forgot to graft with her elderly moms medicine so theyre going back there to dry out and you dont mind going back with more muellers same thing will it the those guys that went and we want to stress together. Its. But there we want to stress youre not supposed to their tags c youre not supposed to go in as im sure they im sure the. Exactly im sure the Police Officers told them if you go youre on your own thats a Police Officer right there, yeah there on your own i cant stop you, im not going to arrest you right now im busy doing many other things sure but im sure they told you. Youre on your own. Lets see if we can stop this Police Officer and talking to looks like all he might even block it right there because yeah, yeah probably figures its too dangerous. Look at that moment of pause and he obviously trained First Responder and even he stopped for a moment probably considered is it safe enough for him to continue going just to show you just how precarious. The situation is still owes guys told you it was apocalyptic. And i understand the one guy wanted when he saw he said 30,030 acres up in flames or his familys flower farm. But they had a little kid in the back seat that you saw and you can see what it looks like thats why you dont go back in the area for curiositys sake i understand going in that if you have to for medicine but. Looking at spreading and to end that could jump to know its its gotten very i got to tell you the heat is incredible breathing is one thing and we all deal with it. But as we get closer and closer just right here. I mean. It is kind of hard for depth the perception on television but im probably about at least 15 feet 20 feet from. The fire and i could feel the heat just from my location theres some headlights coming in my direction, lets see if its a First Responder came running back you we are the way im gonna see if i can see alright pulled him over and talked about some news us all you know gentleman got people going out of there. The evacuations had like you said long been gone 3, 04 00am. Most people got out looks at is a pge looks like out. Yes, lets see if we could talk to pg e i mean their job obviously study energize the lines. The reason why theyre coming through here because you dont want transformers to explode as well and i do see some transformers around here and so far they have not exploded thankfully. But there are lines that they have to deal with so theyre part of the Team Response story as you know its not just firefighters and Police Officers. Pg e is part of the package. So theyre there as well let me see if i can stop them either not spokespeople. But maybe i can see by can ask them basic questions yet because it is reminded that smoky tease me area and are more though. Are the lines ok or the lines the energized. Bird but the right now everythings energize everythings the energize. So new even if it comes down were safe here. Okay, thank you so much so you heard him say right, there are a lot of polls did catch on fire but the lines have been de energize so if they come down. I dont want to test that theory and that he did say if the lines go down we should be ok but making that more people stay with me. And lets see if we can talk to this side this fight toyota 4 runner this suv this really quickly just stay with me. This is about as compelling. I think its a good oh absolutely theyve been through the worst of it if theyre coming towards you will theyve been through just want to be on camera ok very good liar. So let me send it back to you but a lot of people that gentleman said turn the camera off he doesnt want to be on tv more selection and okay theres pg and e as well so they look like were going to daria theyre actually leaving the scene so because the show you just how dangerous the situation is yes, it looks like a country road. But doesnt matter the fires of fire and he could get any one of us no absolutely and thats why a vacaville right thanks a lot. Well is considering more evacuations. James kron 4 just learned thats were continuing to follow let you know immediately if they want more people to get out yet some 45 were going to have a live interview with cal fire and then at 8. 15 were going to be talking to. A representative frod a vacaville the Fire Department there well get the very latest on those potential evacuations that are new in the half hour or so so well talk more when we get more information we also want to go to Sonoma County weve got kron 4 Sarah Stinson as you see there also following another side to this l a new complex fire. Sara where are you now and what hes seeing. Im at the top of sweet water springs road above guys guerneville excuse me guerneville and it is just as easy as said earlier were well as its apocalyptic i mean look at this chart land everywhere. And you cant even see the flames very well, theyre back there, but you cant see it because the smoke is so thick, you can see behind me how thick it is ive been talking to one of the cal Fire Fighters here and he told me that they are fighting fire with fire. Because its so the terrain is so steep. Its hard to get in there and put out hot spots put out the flames. I mean look how deep in that billowing smoke is right there and so what theyre doing is theyre theyre actively starting a fire lines to stop the fire. From continuing on into guerneville this is the road i drove up. Its a sweet water springs row, its very narrow. Theres a ton of cal Fire Fighters on this road you know going over their plan for the day and then theres other firefighters who are down on this road you can see their truck right there. And theyve gone up into this road to fight the fire that road is mcrae ridge road and i think theres a home in there some kind some kind of structure and they had to walk in because its so steep so they are now all over trying to get this fire under control to keep this in perspective because you know you hear you know Sonoma County huge county. Then you hear you healdsburg and Windsor Santa rosa, but how far deep in is it its about an hour and a half. From one oh one. It felt like it was 20 minutes away by the looks of it night low, i see some planes let me zoom into that. There we go they can get a better idea theres some flames right there but even though you can see those flames you can faintly see them because the smoke is so thick theres ash falling from the sky here and firefighters are working tirelessly as i said in my last live shot. I heard from a man a firefighter hes been working on this fire since 1 oclock yesterday, he said hes exhausted. He gets to have a little break. The next firefighters come on and they get to work. Theres 2 fires burning in Sonoma County were still waiting for updated numbers because let me tell you just based on looking at these numbers, its not even going to be close is going to definitely explode in size. 13 for fire burning west of healdsburg is currently 500 acres and 0 contained again i expect that number to go up being here and seeing how it has burned south from where it started the 11 secs 16 fire north of jenner that fire was a 25 acres and 0 contained. I do expect containment percentage is to stay the same because of how much its grown over time. But that is the Current Situation here very steep terrain very difficult fight for these firefighters, im sure airdrops were going to be needed so that they can get into where this fire is actively burning so. A try and see exactly where the firefighters on that road. But fortunately we have service appears so it can bring you right up to where the action is happening so for now ill send it back to you. All right a lot sarah and well take a quick break just a quick reminder though we do have an interview with cal fire coming up here shortly so stay tuned, well get the very latest. From will powers about all these fires that are welcome back 7. 45 on this wednesday morning noticeable smoke hanging out across the bay area, your view of the bay bridge cam definitely shrouded in some of that low lying smoke that is settled into the bay this morning. Now besides that you will notice that sky is not offering up a whole lot of clouds were going to be dry. Were going to be increasingly breezy come the afternoon and increase winds from the coast we pushing through thats not necessarily ideal for these wildfires burning across the region, one of the most Fastest Growing up in sonoma and out into areas of Solano County this fire originally starting right around Lake Berryessa now rapidly growing towards fairfield and vacaville and you can see why wind direction out of the northwest at around 10 to 15 Miles Per Hour at lis thats right at the western flank of the fire right there a little bit further to the west we have fires burning in sonoma are in counties little calmer out here right now, but wind speeds are going to pick up come the afternoon as an increased sea breeze really kicks into gear thats also going to pick up winds around the vicinity of our blazes burning in southern san mateo and northern santa cruz counties as for your current temperatures, 60s 70s, even a couple of 80s on the map pittsburgh 81 right now dublin cool at 68. It is a cool start to what will be a hot day just around the corner. Daytime highs eventually climb to the 90s in triple digits again for inland areas. James and darya. Back to the breaking news fires exploding across the bay area, many homes have burned. And thousands have been evacuated and weve got on the phone with us right now will powers from cal fire joining us to try and. Give us a little perspective and the latest on the firefighting efforts that were seeing across the entire bay area. Mister powers, thanks for joining us. I think you brought it. Whats the worst area that you see so far. Of or be im not originally all the fires that we have right now on to the location of the property a few of the population of home and stuff like that that we have throughout not a normal county. So now in Sonoma County is where youre most concerned because of the number of homes has everyone got out are you going to order more evacuations because we are seeing the winds start to pick up and its just amazing how far this thing spread just between say 00 04am, in the morning and now. Yeah it burned pretty active overnight. Im not a lot of recovery on the fire of the humidity. So theyre able to burn actively the evening and then of course the overnight. It was amazing to consider how many fires are burning in the bay area right now let alone the number of fires burning across the state where are we in terms of resources does calfire have enough right now to devote to these fires or we kind of behind the ball on it trying to get all the resources allocated where they need to be. Oh and we do have are now on all the fires that we have currently burdened nominate the county. But we are expecting them with throughout the arena you up it throughout the day we have other fires around the around the region. A lot of the shots as you can see that were getting for tv is are from these towers in this really steep areas and it shows you just the way these cameras pointed down how hard it is to get to these areas talk about how you are able to access. The paths and where you need to get to these fires. The area but the fire did not is not with grout group i did it for a good friend that there are currently burning in air resources have been utilized. You know get some of the area about the fire. But as of right now we all know thats been on every part of the reason that other incident happened around or even can we pull in from other areas. I know everybodys getting heat wave in. California has not just these fires, but the southland to can you can you call other areas in. We do have reports that from the air that are coming in from different area. But a lot of columbia politically multiple fires. Diverted to a one fire the home back to another. But due to the amount of fire throughout the region. The very first of all that and. Seems like this line were showing a map now around Lake Berryessa has you know most circled it now and it keeps moving in this is the one thats going towards. Vacaville and its such a more heavily populated area thats what really scares people i think is when they see it closing in on you know. Some divisions suburban areas you see that happening. I know what though theyre not back in the area a burning up there on that ridge top area always not always get back to the president not the area. That was warnings and orders put in place for those areas. We have to have up here not the county we have the area that day. But on an Evacuation Order that are up 400 residents and not not the vision of the role of the vision. Yeah, the big concern is the resident from i think that the time. And what type of resources do you have to keep an eye on the very latest with the fire lines. The people know how close its getting you guys have a Reconnaissance Aircraft in the air how often do they go up and how quickly are you able to get the word out if the fire does approach a populated area. Well courtney on repeat plan on their phone records argued that search area being weather change. We get you get the word out early and often. And what about people that you know we talked to some people live on air this morning. 2 scenarios one was they forgot their medication so they got out at like midnight but then they went back in for medication. The other was a couple of guys that were going to check on property and they were just looking you know, so they drove in to the you know the flames they said it was apocalyptic looking they went in there saw that the farm family farm had been wiped out and when driving back out i got to tell you it will they had a kid in the backseat i know theyre curious and theyre concerned but that could have been a disaster. Yeah we want to urge residents to stay out of the ordered area and he lived in that area. We are he did leave immediately and then also dont be going back into the area you need to apply for it like that affect your local Sheriffs Department or Police Department and try to work something getting supplies that you may need medication like that.
