Now 75 contained. We do have the forward progress of this fire stopped this fire to give you size it covers almost the full city block with bought with 6 commercial buildings being involved. Do we know how that firefighter got injured in a firefighter was injured in the performance of firefighting operation duties he has been taken to the Trauma Center has being evaluated by trauma. Emergency room personnel as we speak jonathan this fire could be seen across the city what made it so difficult to finally turned the corner on the fire. We know this is something that San Francisco fire trains on is is exactly this. We are a city of redundant Fire Protection systems and we are a city that prides ourselves on training and proactive miss we utilize a number of redundant programs and proactive in systems such as the above ground water system, the auxiliary water system, the High Pressure water system. To combat this fire, including our fire counter. To help us get this fire contained so as this is definitely a difficult fire. Difficulty that we have planned on prepared for and that planning and preparedness definitely shown to be effective today and a lot of adjustments on the fly i would imagine you use the center a freeway to spray water down from it right that is correct we have to really come up with innovative ways to combat this fire. At a moments our Incident Commander chief nichols around back to the phenomenal job. Directing number chief of operations vick worst. I quickly took fire building on erie street and did a phenomenal job directing that fire operation so a number of plays with in this game here if you want to call it out this fire. That were enacted with one goal extinguishing this fire with 0 injuries. Has less impact on Property Damage is possible. Unfortunately we do have one firefighter who was injured has stated. But we have no civilians injured that we have reported at this time it looks like an auto body shop was it in business at the time that is that is that going to be forthcoming as to the status of that body shop. We do know is it was not occupied at the time of the fire. There were buildings within this footprint that were occupied and were not occupied and right now obviously 75 you still have a ways to go to allow your investigators to go inside anything jump out at this point as possibly suspicion, 90 thing at this time would be completely speculative on our case. Our investigators were here on the second floor. Theyre Walking Around and theyre actively working as we speak, thank you so much for taking the time youre very busy this morning, a friend of kron 4 Jonathan Baxter thank you for that he just said 75 contained one firefighter injured in the process of fighting the fire they will be year obviously they still havent turned the corner completely on the fire but they have stopped the fire from advancing he talked about 6 buildings occupying this area that encompasses one city block one of the businesses with an auto body shop which he does not believe was in operation at the time but there are other businesses in operation, he said all together about a 100 workers this place let me step out of the way and just quickly give you. The lay of the land you can see theres the fire off in the distance. Good news. You dont see any firefighters on top of the ladder spring water down so it looks like for now they can finally take a breath marty. And then try to regain some of their composure take a deep breath because they had been seriously fighting this for about 2, 2 and a half hours this is south than at any other time he would get killed standing in the middle of the roadway of course, but they have shut this down to allow the firefighters to bring all their ladders or hoses stretched their trucks using this whole facility this area to its Maximum Capacity to allow them to do their job theres that freeway off in the distance jonathan did talk about that how they use that area to use that Vantage Point the sprayed thousands of gallons of water down to the plains of this is a great sign by the way right there you dont see that thick black smoke anymore and has turned white so clearly they have got the upper hand on it, although the fight continues back to you mark and will one thing we want to mention too as we can see that the traffic lights are not working that reminds us that pg and e. Has shut down the power in that area. If you see somebody with pg e maybe you can ask them if you how long the powers going to be out because were talking about a large neighborhood there that is without electricity right now. Thanks a lot. Well. All credit. And well well tackle that for us when he gets a chance rob. And you know with the power out that means the traffic lights are not working as well and you know you may have some folks that have elevators and some of those buildings too so thats going to be a major issue as we continue through the morning and into the afternoon. Were switching over to traffic tracker because we want to show you the traffic and the impact in the area about an hour ago it was much much worse now were looking at just a lot of heavy traffic on the whole stretch of the northbound central freeway from the beginning to the end traffic is solid. But the fire is closer to the southbound central freeway and at one point we had of the chp holding back traffic and they were running traffic breaks just because the fire was so close to the central freeway. So thats no longer the case the southbound central looks good traffic is getting through the northbound central is awful the james lick right there in the middle at one point that northbound traffic was backed up all the way out to 2. 80 that is no longer the case its wide open looking much much better and even the traffic on the bay bridge has improved 80 west was a mess because of smoke was just so large sea of the cystic plume of smoke hovering over San Francisco so everybody heading in was slowing down to take a look but thankfully, the traffic has improved on the freeways, not on city streets on city streets because of the fire. The closures to traffic lights being out its awful so stay away from erie folsom then s south finesse as well important portions of Mission Remains close at 15th and 16th all showing nothing but red so not a good idea to be traveling along this stretch. So thats a traffic update from San Francisco. Now lets get a weather update. Heading over to the Weather Center and saying good morning to dave spahr heyday, hey good morning robin good morning, everybody and the winds have been relatively calm during this morning true to form you we have that inversion going on where to start to mix out the fog but. The general flow pattern is west to east and the winds will pick up in the city a little bit later on this afternoon clean that area out of the Golden Gate Bridge shot as robin was referring to earlier, its got a little worse now as you can see is the fog kind of repositions itself both powers are now invisible behind all that fog. Inland were looking for some movement temperature wise those 68 for antioch 65 conquered livermore at 62. No movement here along the east bay shoreline at 60 and 61 up to napa nevada with 63 as well, breaking it down for you the bay bridge toll plaza also looking at overcast fog clouds but inland, its sunny 85 expected by one by 4 were talking 89 high temperatures will venture into some of the lower 90s in some selective spots, minor technical cooling the next couple of days and then a brief warmup into the weekend marty all right dave thanks a lot. Well lets go to the south bay happening today, it has been one year since the 19 yearold gunman. Opened fire at the gilroy garlic festival killing 3 people and injuring several others its going to by a very somber evening for the community of gilroy as they come together to remember and honor the lives that were lost kron 4 Sarah Stinson has more now from gilroy. Im here at Christmas Hill park where one year ago today chaos and tragedy struck the gilroy garlic festival after a gunman opened fire on the crowds killing 3 people today lies a memorial for those 3 victims. A man who walks by here every day says its something he thinks about daily i just feel that. You know you did something youll never forget every day go by that memorial i walked by. Across my heart. Because you know i wish these people that theyre in a better place prayer flags hang above the memorial honoring trevor irby keyla selzer and stephen romero, the 3 people shot one year ago today 19 others were wounded hundreds of people were impacted and still are healing today, you know why that person you know chose to do what he did. Its kind of shocked the community because its a pretty close knit community. Tonight an event called rising together aims to remember the victims honor the heroes and reflect on pain in healing from that fateful day one year ago at Christmas Hill park when a 19 yearold man used an Assault Rifle to fire into the festivals crowd 3 Gilroy Police officers sprinted towards the gunman and shot him several times he then shot himself the fbis domestic terrorism investigation is still ongoing. We do not have a motive even one year later, but to nobody. You know, nobody really has an answer for why. Which can be frustrating to the community. The 3 yearold Police Officers who stopped the gunfire will be honored tonight with a medal of valor victims will be speaking about their experiences. Tonights event rising together will be streamed online. So you can join that from the comfort and safety of her own home, we put a link to that on our website kron 4 dot com in terms of the garlic festival it was postponed this year due to the pandemic Officials Say hopefully next year it will happen and then hopefully the healing process will be a little bit further along in gilroy Sarah Stinson kron 4 news. We have brandnew video into our newsroom of this a mass ve structure fire that crews are still building within San Francisco, south of market neighborhood check out this is when the fire was at its peak and we have that thick, blacks plume of just filling up the Mission District all over the central freeway in San Francisco. And you can see this throughout the bay area so fire crews are still on scene it doesnt look like this now they do have a handle on the fire broke out at around 6. 30 this morning, this is near 13th and airy street in San Francisco at a commercial great warehouse in a fire just quickly spread to 6 other commercial buildings and up to 5 alarms. We do know that one firefighter was injured already transported off to the hospital, but no reports of any other injuries, several residents and other businesses have been evacuated. So well stay on top of this we have a reporter kron fours will tran on the scene well have another update coming up in good morning welcome back to kron 4 morning news in our continuing coverage of breaking news this morning. A massive fivealarm fire. Was burning in the south of market neighborhood. It is now 75 contained and it had its height, it involved a some 5 alarms 100 firefighters battling the blaze, were happy to tell you theres only been one injury to a firefighter, and no civilians were injured, but you can see it was fully engulfed an entire city block in the south of market area earlier this morning. And this is the 13th and airy street in San Francisco which is right next to the southbound central freeway and it had a huge impact on the traffic throughout the area not only on city streets but on the central freeway, the bay bridge. The james lick when the fire first broke out the traffic was just awful all of the surrounding streets surrounding this fire are blocked off and will be i think its safe to say that it will be for several more hours if not the remainder of the afternoon right now were just seeing heavy traffic on the northbound central the whole stretch of the northbound central freeway is crawling southbound has completely thinned out at one point they were holding back traffic. They have to take a look at one o one because the fire was burning so close to it but southbound traffic looks good right now its just the northbound side thats pretty bad and then the james lick freeways finally back open with traffic looking great but once again stay away from city streets 13th 14th 15th erie then s mission all blocked off and backed up with lots of traffic in the traffic lights marty are not working you know pg e had come out off the powers. Well yeah, and its interesting to note that the northbound lanes of the ones that are dealing with the slow traffic. And thats on the opposite side of the fire the southbound lanes closest to the fire traffics moving fine. And thats partially because the northbound side for this time a morning is the commute direction. Somebody is coming into the city you see smoke you see crimes looking lose rubber neck or or i thanks robin lets go ahead get caught up on the weather forecast. With more on that heres Dave Spahr Heidi martin robin good morning and good morning, were looking at the current winds on the map here in the general flow pattern basically west to east now we tend to have in the morning is that inversion so the first order of business is to mix out the fog going on and then this afternoon well have a more pronounced on shore i did check some of the local reporting stations in and around that region of the city and its basically been the same thing adrift in from the west. The winds are not too pronounced going on this morning sfo still dealing with some of that cloud cover left over from that fog but the sun appearing in just a little bit as you can see in the foreground temperatures starting to move a little bit inland, however, were looking at 68 for antioch 65 conquer deliver more coming at 62. While the east bay shoreline pretty much still in the lower 60s 64 for san jose and up to the north bay here most readings also in the 60s with 54 for santa rosa. Now getting to what will happen later today again following the familiar pattern west to east on shore for those winds are going to pick up more of those inland spots, but even in the city, it will probably be in the teens close to about 20. Sometimes theres higher gusts here and there and this is actually acts as a cooling mechanism for the inland valleys compared to how warm they could be which we see in the central valley, were numbers theyre going to be at a 100 or better 65 going on first San Francisco today, 72 for oakland, an 84 san jose but even along the east bay shoreline, nobodys really popping up to about 80 today thats going to case tomorrow and thursday. Getting into friday and the weekend thats when temperatures will start to get some movement here. Meanwhile got 94 for any aac today, 91 for concord with mostly 80s up to the north bay and the santa clara valley. Well course have more on your forecast coming up in a bit party. All right dave thanks a lot will we continue to track the coronavirus numbers for you up in the bay area and currently. There are over 47,000 cases and 745 people have died from the virus in the bay area. We continue to see the most cases in Alameda County with over 10,000 infections now the virus though has been deadliest in Santa Clara County, where 184 people have died from covid19 we have a full breakdown of cases by county and city on our website at kron 4 dot com. And happening today in the east bay, the Contra Costa County board of supervisors may approve an ordinance that would approve fines for violating Health Orders now this includes wearing face coverings social distancing and large gatherings. The fine for individuals would range from 100 to 500 for noncommercial violations and commercial violations would range from 250 to 1000. Well to the north bay now coronavirus cases continue to climb at San Quentin State Prison 537 people at the prison. How the virus and more than half of them or prison staff were told that staff are given in 95 mask as they entered the prison each day and theyre being tested every 14 days so far 78 have returned to work. We no longer have the luxury of confining thousands of people and quite tightly closed spaces. And thinking that it will only impact their Public Health and their public safety. This impacts us all i think one of the biggest and justice is done. Was to call the san quentin outbreak from the very beginning this has been a marine county outbreak. Well the states online tracker of the prison population cells 19 inmates have died from covid19 10 of them are on death row in more than 1500 have recovered. Well as we continue to follow breaking news out of San Francisco fire crews are getting a handle on this massive structure fire that broke out at around 6. 30 this morning in San Franciscos south of market neighborhood near 13th and area. And we understand that it is now 75 contained firefighters have done a magnificent job in knocking down those big flames that are seen in this video from earlier this morning, well continue to update you on this big fire and the aftermath coming up. After the break. Good morning welcome back to San FranciscoCatholic Church is under scrutiny this morning after the city says it was all set to host a large indoor wedding. But this is not the first time the saint peters and paul church has been accused of violating city Health Orders kron fours Maureen Kelly has more. On the 4th of july the San FranciscoCity Attorneys Office got a tip that a 100 person wedding was set to be held inside saints. Peter, and paul church in north beach. It was particularly disturbing information because just 5 days prior theyd set the San Francisco archdiocese, this cease and desist letter because of numerous complaints about large Indoor Services which violate the citys Public Health order including a saints. Peter, and paul church after learning about the Independence Day affair representative from the City Attorneys Office was sent out to investigate. According to another violation notice sent to the archdiocese. That study investigator found the front door is closed and a sign posted acknowledging that Indoor Services were not allowed. Well the wedding guests entered the church through a garage that city staff are then found a photographer and others inside the Church Setting up for the ceremony. The representative then got the pastor to agree to move the wedding outside and have guests wear face coverings and maintain social distance. U c berkeley Infectious Disease expert John Swartzberg called this disregard of the Public Health order egregious here people worked here responsibly never going to get our hands around this problem. If people to contribute to this war. The American Population has if youre looking just look at itself after media reports that some of the attendees may have contracted the virus. The City Attorney shoot a statement which says in part. The reported covid19 outbreak that resulted from the archdiocese failures has hopefully shocked its leadership to taking responsibility of the life and death consequences of whats happening in its church is a spokesperson for the archdiocese says after they got that june cease and desist letter the archbishop. Sent a memo out to all 90 of their parishes. Letting them know they need to follow. The Health Orders of the countys their churches are located him ive reached out to the pastor of saint peter and paul church who has yet to respond. Maureen kelly kron 4 news. And we have an update for you on the breaking news in San Francisco this morning. The aftermath of a big 5 alarm fire this morning involved 100 firefighters trying to knock down. The flames that you see on your screen. The fire started about 6. 30 this morning. It is now were happy to say 75 contained and its at its height, it involved a full city block in the south of market area some 6 buildings all house in a warehouse they actually firefighters were using different angles to battle the flames we even saw a couple of fire trucks out with their ladders hoisted well into the sky pointing down from the central freeway this morning fighting the flames from that area so traffic is still a mess but were happy to say the fire for the most part has been knocked down 75 contained, well be back with the will tran a live report from the scene coming up after it is morning and we know that you want coffee. But we also know that, when it comes to money you want to. Not spend any. Thats why 7eleven has 7 cups free with 7rewards. You get the drip coffee you want. For the no money you want. Coffee. No money. 7 times. Is that what you want . Oh, we know. Because we are 7eleven. And we might know you better than you know yourself. 7eleven. Always open. Welcome back to the kron 4 morning news on our breaking News Coverage of that 5 alarm fire burning in San Francisco, were happy to tell you. That it is now 75 contained, but this is what it looked like earlier this morning, the fire started about 6. 30 this morning. South of market in a warehouse that takes up an entire city block in the 13th and fulsome area in south of market in San Francisco as we mentioned 75 contained and now 100 firefighters were working for several hours to knock down the blaze. And we understand that it went to 5 alarms you can see why by looking at this video of of the smoke just going into the sky and those flames again taking up an entire city block in the city. Check in with kron fours will tran who has been covering the story hes live on the scene with another update will. We do know that one firefighter was injured in the process of fighting this fire. The good news is they have turned the corner on this fire, but they will be here throughout the day to put it out and then of course hot spots will be a problem throughout the day so way too early to allow their investigators. They go inside that location to find out the cause of the fire this is at 14. And south bend. Thats look at the body language thats a great sign. The urgency is overall move the camera over here. This is pretty much the epicenter of the fire it also involves 6 businesses we do know one of the businesses was an auto body shop which obviously the use a lot of tools including fire. But at this time we are hearing that they were not working at the time. But the other businesses, some of them were in operation so perhaps that could be the fire where it started but they just simply dont know at this time. The latter still fully extended just in case they have to run up and deal with say a large flame every now and then but clearly the firefighters are down from the top of the ladder there talking to each other. Mrs. South van ness it is still blocked off to the public you can see all that. All the hoses on the ground so theyre still stretched out nobody is rolling up any hoses because they know the fire could start again at any moment and thats why they are. Breathing taking a deep breath, but. Nowhere near saying its over and start to move some of their crews out of this particular area because they still have their hands full moving forward theres the central freeway robin you talked about it all morning they actually had to use some ingenuity yes, they practice for all things. But at one point they actually had to hop onto the freeway is shut down the traffic and then used that Vantage Point almost like a ladder for the freeway almost like a ladder for them this parade, thousands of gallons of water down to this particular area were not hearing of any fatalities and just hearing from Jonathan Baxter the spokesman for the San Francisco fire department. The way he said that that one firefighter was injured, it did not seem that firefighter was seriously injured so im assuming the he or she should make a full recovery nothing too major as far as the injury. You can clearly see a lot of firefighters Police Officers at the scene. Power has been wiped out to this location you can see theres the street lights, no power to them. Stay away from this area just to give you my particular. Story to see the texture when you first saw me at 7. 30 in the morning. Marty robin now with about 2 blocks from this location. It took me 30 minutes just to go around all the road blocks just to come down to this particular Vantage Point thats how much they have pretty much choked off. The traffic. 2 san franciscans through this area and it looks like itll be that way for all day as they need all the space for their fire trucks their hoses and of course the investigators once they arrived to the scene, ill zoom in and i can see one firefighter on the roof top at this time, so it looks like part of the roof did collapse, but there are other parts are safe enough for some firefighters at least at this time to walk on the roof to get a Vantage Point to look down. At that particular fire again cause of the fire way too early to tell. Back to you. And will i was i was checking out google maps and for the most part it looks like there are auto repair related businesses. In that warehouse, so as you possibly a lot of solvents gasoline. Other flammable in that warehouse which is why we saw so the flames just so high and the smoke billowing so high into the sky. Absolutely when its an auto body shop weather is an operation or not they told us. Looks like we just lost live picture there so well get back as soon as we can. To get more information from will in the meantime robin you have a some traffic new yes, yes, im happy to say that the freeway traffic has greatly improved in the area, especially on the central freeway. When this fire a first broke out in crews are battling the fire we have this huge plume of black smoke right next to the central freeway and fire crews were battling the fire from the freeway with assistance from chp so we have some lanes blocked in they were running traffic breaks but as we look at the southbound central traffic house completely recovered the northbound central is tough because thats the commute direction so everyone coming into San Francisco of course the rubber neck ers had to stop and slow and look at the smoke, but its still heavy on the northbound central freeway all the way out to city streets of the james lick house completely improved the bay bridge 80 west has completely improve so its looking much much better but as will just said you want to stay away from that area for the remainder of your morning commute so stay away from venice and from 13th to area all the way out to 16 traffic is a mess street closures are in place and they will be for the remainder of the morning commute a mardi im also thinking about new knee. Delays and reroute you can expect that point as well for mass transit, yeah, it is going to be a mess and that area, San Francisco and then its just going to have a domino effect also into other parts of the city as well so you know you her will say it took him 30 minutes to go from oracle park. To the south of market and thats what a couple miles maybe yeah so dont do good advice. All right, lets go ahead turn our attention to weather forecasts and check in with Dave Spahr Heidi marty and robin good morning and good morning everybody still battling the fog at this hour this giving us a shot for the east bay shoreline side which we really cant even see. The shot from u c berkeley course, the shrubbery in the foreground the background start to see that fog lift from the east bay shoreline 68 antioch at this hour 65 conquered 62, livermore got some 60s up here in the north bay as well 64 for san jose but still 50s for a good chunk of the peninsula we do have the onshore winds that will pick up later on today. Its a cooling mechanism even though inland were going to see some 90s going on in the far east bay reaches up the Solano County as well. But it cools it down from what it would normally be also we have these fog clouds hanging around the bay bridge toll plaza shot. 85 at 1 oclock at 4 were talking about 89 back to you. All right, thank you david back to our breaking news story where fire crews are getting a handle on this huge structure fire in San Franciscos south of market neighborhood it is 75 contained theyve made a lot of progress throughout the morning but still not yet completely under control this is near erie and 13 and as you look at the video and the pictures you can see just how massive this fire was it started at a commercial great building and just quickly spread to 6 other buildings up to 5 alarms right morning, 5 alarms, 100 firefighters at its peak. Battling that blaze and you can see why well be back with more coverage after the break. Good morning welcome back in north bay firefighter tested positive for covid19. So precautions are being taken to try and prevent the spread of the virus at petaluma fire station number 3. The fire station was temporarily closed, but its now reopened again after being deep cleaned. Petaluma is fire marshal says throughout the pandemic firefighters have responded to calls involving people infected with the coronavirus and the harsh reality is that even with their ppe ease First Responders are still vulnerable. Well so happens yeah, they specially scary for us is that for Department Family to think about how many people are possibly impacted is a smaller size department on a major mess all department. We have just over 60 people that means one or 2 now thats a significant first our workforce. Well the firefighter who tested positive and 14 of that persons coworkers have been quarantine separately at different locations. And to the south bay now a man has been arrested after a standoff right in front of a donut shop in cupertino it all started yesterday at around 04 00pm at the staples right along Stevens Creek boulevard Santa Clara CountySheriffs Office says that the man stole 200 worth of items. He ran from the into the donut will right along de anza boulevard it took some cash from inside the shop and set a garbage can on fire. Deputies were able to negotiate with the man after a standoff, but it ended without shots being fired. He has been arrested on suspicion of theft, resisting arrest brandishing a knife attempted carjacking and arson. Police in San Francisco are searching for witnesses after a man was attacked during an event at dolores park. Police released these photos of the suspects take a look the victims girlfriend says that she was walking away after an argument when she looked back and she saw someone hit her boyfriend, he fell on the ground. His head there on the pavement. Police arrested 25 yearold stockton rested resident or julio loopy and junior hes being charged with assault and officers are asking these witnesses to come forward with any additional information. Happening today state lawmakers talking about a bill that would require Cell Phone Companies to have backup power for their cell phone towers. The goal is to help people make calls during planned wildfire power outages. This bill is sponsored by east bay state senator steve glazer it would require companies to provide backup power to cell towers for 3 days if utilities shut off power that hearing on the bill will begin 9 just a few minutes at 10 oclock this morning at the state capitol. And we have new video that we want to show you into the newsroom of that massive fire that started about 3 hours ago now. It was 5 alarms at its height and you could see the flames and smoke from just about anywhere in the bay area were happy to tell you that it is now 75 contained. Unfortunately only one firefighter being treated for injuries and no civilians were injured in this massive blaze, that ate up most of the city block. The south of market area. Well have more coverage for you when we come back good morning, welcome back to kron 00 04am morning News Coverage of that huge fire burning south of Market Street area in San Francisco 14th and south and has to be specific. The fire started about 6. 30 this morning went to 5 alarms and over 100 firefighters battling those flames for much of this morning, were happy to tell you now that its 75 contained for the most part so they have turned the corner on fighting this fire robin they havent traffic certainly looks a lot better in the area when the fire first broke out it was just awful because it was burning right next to the southbound central freeway so traffic house improve nicely. On the southbound central but not the northbound central because thats the commute direction, although we dont have the black smoke that we saw like a you know 6. 37 oclock this morning. Theres still a lot of white smoke and a lot of activity in the area thats visible to commuters so we have a lot of traffic on the northbound central the james lick looks much much better and so does the bay bridge 80 west into San Francisco, but as far as city streets surrounding this fire. You can expect these closures to be in place for the remainder of your morning commute and into the afternoon so then s and from 13th, arie all the way over to 16 there was a major traffic jam, i know its a busy area you have a lot of stuff. Grocery stores, gas station, lots of businesses that you may need to access. But its just not a good idea to be traveling along that stretch check out the video this levee its still looks like this not the fire. But the closures the people on the streets the fire trucks still blocking so just a big mess in the south of market neighborhood that you should definitely stay away from and the other thing thing we want to point out to add to the traffic mess is that the traffic lights are off yeah because pg e shut the power off in that neighborhood as they should and they were thinking of safety right but it means that there are no traffic lights operating in that general area so traffic is going to be. At best a mass at worse a disaster at least for the next several hours so again. Listen to what romney has to tell you about this advice of staying out of that area and just a quick note if you encounter a traffic light thats out or darker flashing remember youre supposed to treat that as a fourway stop some time to get people are not paying attention they just blow right through and the intersection is start so dont do that the traffic lights are out along that stretch so you just want to keep that in mind the extra careful all right, lets turn our attention now to the weather as far as here with the forecast a good morning guys, good morning, everybody we are still battling the fog even at this late hour live shot coming in temper on and starting up in the north bay there you can see the fog clouds but you can get a little bit of some blue showing up there just a touch so i give a little time with that. The current winds, their main the onshore flow pattern that would just intensify later on for today, keeping some conditions a little cooler than they would be without it. Temperature movement has been kind of sluggish this morning we saw a little bit of movement for antioch at 6862 for livermore east bay shoreline still in the lower 60s up to the north bay 60s with 56 for santa rosa 64 meanwhile for san jose so later on today, heres the wind pattern we have on shore theres the Coverage Area you can see north bay off to the east bay well into later tonight at 9 oclock your 4 zone forecast to check in for today, 65 San Francisco. Marina district 61 Mission District 67. And then mid 60s cover much of the peninsula coast bayside in the upper 60s lower to middle 70s, particularly heading south got some 80s hanging out here too. 83 redwood city palo alto at 82. The south bay and through the santa clara valley, most of the readings into the 80s middle 80s at that 93 for morgan hill 88 for los gatos east bay shoreline remains in the 70s. I think will be popping into some lower 80s as we get into the weekend will warming looks like livermore 90 today, 88 for pleasanton 88 also for walnut creek 91 conquered 74 richmond jumping up here to the north bay here 96 for vacaville 94 fairfield 67 for delay, whoa and 84 for santa rosa with 80s heading down south some of the game plan here we have temperatures that drop off a little bit for tomorrow with thursday and then pop back up again as we head on into the weekend back to you all right dave thanks a lot of us get to a developing story this morning. We are learning new details about that muni bus driver who was attacked by a passenger holding a bat in San Francisco. Kron fours Taylor Bisacky has more.
