In english and chinesesince most people dont read signs, this is what you get drivers crossing over the double yellow lines to pull in head first this driver just pulled in head first, then got out. While a mini van is backing out and a truck is parked in the bike lane, after getting bags from his trunk he reads the small tiny sign nats ambiance then he goes back to reposition his car. While in the process of making the change lets go talk to him to see what he has to say i noticed you changed your parking i know i didnt get it but i had to do it, you know why . because thats what they said the sign here you saw the little sign did you see the big sign that you parked right next to there . back in angle parking only, back in yea you did it right the second time i created such a buzz just being there that some people started telling drivers to turn around this is joe and he is not liking this new configuration everybody complains about this, this is no good. Nobody like it say it agai n nobody likes itso why would the city change from pulling in to backin in. Its simple its so the drivers can see bicyclist when pulling out. Check back with you through out the morning. darya it could soon get a lot easier to find parking in San Francisco. But it could also soon get more expensive. mark kron 4s dan kerman explains. What you pay to park in San Francisco could soon go up but it might also go down. Its called demand pricing and its already in effect at 7 thousand meters throughout the city for example here in the 21hundred block of chestnut it costs 5. 75 an hour to park in the morning but during the busy afternoon rush it jumps to 6. 25 an hour. Now the sfmta is considering putting this demand pricing in place at all of the cities 30 thousand meters sot paul rose sf mta 2838were building off the success we had with our Pilot Program sf park where we saw that 43 percent of the time people found it easier to park or found parking faster in those pilot areas. The mta says the higher price encourages people to park in a less busy area which frees up spots and makes parking easier overall. Sotdo you find it any easier to park, no chestnut is actually the worstwhile drivers agree parking in the city is a nightmare, many arent buying the theory that higher prices are making people go elsewhere thus freeing up more spots. Sot no it does not prevent me from parking when i do find a spot but it is definitely like sticker shock when i see what the parking is going to be. Among the meters currently not park of the program are these on union street. Right now parking here is just 2. 25 an hour, but thats could climb with demand pricing, though the mta says any meter hikes will be limited to 25 cents every three months. Standup dan kerman sf 132140the proposal could go before the mta board for a vote next month and if approved this could take effect before the end of the year.
