WASHINGTON - Soon after President Donald Trump left his Dec. 5 rally in Georgia and boarded Air Force One, he called Sen. Josh Hawley.
After spending more than 90 minutes onstage, railing about a rigged election and the radical left, Trump interrogated the 40-year-old Missouri Republican about another subject entirely: whether a massive coronavirus relief package that was starting to show signs of life on Capitol Hill would send direct payments to American taxpayers.
