>> emily: the biden administration is taking action against explosion of antisemitism we've seen on college campuses. the education department says it is investigating a list of schools over reported incidents of antisemitism and islamophobia. hello, everyone, this is audio, i'm emily compagno, joining us today fox news contributor lisa boothe, anchor and co-host of bottom line dagen mcdowell, fox weather meteorologist amy freeze and former white house press secretary ari fleischer. department of education launched investigation into seven schools, over five reports of antisemitism harassment and two of antimuslim harassment. this week posters were spotted on benches mocking those made for israeli hostages kidnapped by hamas. instead of hostages names, they say, missing cow. now word from upenn on this. another school is columbia university, suspended two student groups this week. many protested that decision. watch. >> columbia university has immense history of fighting for anticolonial and banning of jbp is dangerous precedent to set. aside from the stance someone takes, it is chilling to happen in america that a student group would be disbanded for planning a protest. >> i say as long as people are not promoting hate speech, it is wrong to curb any sort of freedom of speech. >> emily: of course, these are not the only schools dealing with antisemitism on campus. we have seen anti-israel protest on a growing number of college campuses since the hamas attack of october 7. lisa, focusing on the administration tep ed response at this moment, it can be said there should be a wait before a rush to judgement, a wait before the doj gets involved. same time, everything under biden and under this administration has been so fast to be condemned or have action taken when that hate fits their narrative. if i can remember, i think all of the u.s. border agents accused of whipping are still awaiting an apology, the list goes on. >> lisa: he's investigating islamophobia, right? they keep trying to do this, instead of denouncing what happened and condemning it and pointing out it is antisemitism and jews are the target right now, they keep bringing islamophobia into it. fbi director previously state jews represent 2.4% of the population yet 60% of the religious hate crimes committed against them. 400% increase in antisemitic incidents since the october 7 attack. a cornell student was arrested for saying he want to rape and kill jewish women on campus right now temperature is what is happening to jews in america, we need this administration to stand up, condemn it and everyone stand united. i disagree with bringing islamophobia into this. >> emily: ari, do you feel there will be equal attention put on antisemitism by this administration? >> ari: when i hear schools are cornell, penn, columbia, schools that are hard to get into, seems they are easy to get into if that is the caliber of their student. i have zero faith in this federal department of education, under joe biden will do anything real or meaningful. this is a fig leaf that allowing them to say we are helping, launching an investigation. department of education will not do a thing. these universities are bigger and more powerful than the department of education under joe biden. if you want to make an impact on colleges, it is up to governors. governors need to say no more tenure for college professors in our state. the heart is liberal academic faculty, this is where they are socialist, they are progressive, marxist and they cannot be fired and they play politics in the worst markist, antisemitic way possible and that encourages students. some administrations would stand up if they didn't have to fight the faculty. the faculty is too strong, as a result of indoctrination and identity politics and colonialization, nonsense they spew is biting universities. >> emily: perfect segue, professor slam university president for condemning antisemitism on campus, the letter read as harvard faculty we are astonished by pressure from donors, alum and some on campus to silence those critical of the actions of the state of israel. this is my favorite part, ridiculous. it is important to acknowledge patronizing tone of the criticism you receive and out-right racism. come on, get out of here, it goes on, i will not read that nonsense. that is the climate ari was describing. >> dagen: a friend sent that later, he attended harvard and harvard medical school. it kept me up at night. there is antisemitism. this is anti-anti-anti-semitism and displays hatred of jewish people and israel and they want to be able to display hatred of israel and jewish people on campus. in that letter, no mention of the hostages who were still being held by hamas. i wonder, would you want to be treated by an obgyn if she is not worried about children being held hostage by terrorists who massacred jewish children and women and families. i digress, there are a lot of people who deserve at least some personal investigation who signed that letter. i want to point something out. the hand of the department of education is being forced. the jewish civil rights legal organization filed civil rights complaint against university of pennsylvania and welsley, saying the two schools violated title six of civil rights act discriminating against jews because they failed to adequately respond to harassment of people on campus. these incidents are being uncovered by people like my friend, jake nova k, who reported there were student leaders of welsley who wrote to residents saying no space, no consideration and no support for zionism within the community. the translation there is jews are not woman. what did the president of welsley do? she wrote a letter i found and put on x last month that said the following. some resident assist notas expressed their views on the israel and hamas conflict. the students were talked to and they sent an apology to theun stereo -- they learned from this episode and that gives me hope. the president of welsley. now you are being investigated by the department of investigation because of this behavior, coddling of jew haters on your campus and i can't wait to see what happens to you. >> emily: who is alumna of welsley, hillary clinton, that ducktails to the point you are making the joke of the department of education investigating anything. real solidarity would have been expressed by the president showing up or hillary clinton saying i will not stand as a representative as i am an ambassador from the institution. the voices that would quash that investigation, those are silent, too. >> lisa: what would help, if you took away federal funding that goes to places like harvard. the most disappointing part of this, it is comeings from intellectual base, they have forgotten history. go back to the 1930s, this happened on campuses. princeton, 1939, first year class of princeton voted adolf hitler the greatest living person, they were looking at propaganda coming out of nazi culture. why are we not able to look at history books and see history repeating itself. it is unacceptable and uneducated approach to dealing with something in society. federal government, our leader and president cannot come up with that solution, it is a sad state of affair and need to go back to ninth grade history. >> emily: more to come. including this, tiktok scrambling to crack down on posts about osama bin laden letter to america. his twisted view of september 11th. now families of the victims of the terror attacks are speaking out. that is next. tired muscles and joints were keeping me from doing the things i loved most. not anymore. blue-emu gave me my freedom back. it supports healthy muscles and joints. shop our expanded family of products at major online retailers. right now get a free footlong at subway. like the new deli heroes. buy one footlong in the app, get one free. it's a pretty big deal. kinda like me. order in the subway app today. if you're a veteran wife, homeowner, and the family bookkeeper, you're the first to know when high rate debt is stressing your budget. but your family's service has earned you a big advantage. the va home loan benefit. with the lower rate newday 100 va cash out loan, you can pay off high rate credit cards and car loans. and can save $6,000 a year. that's real money you can use to take care of your family and home. municipal bonds don't usually get the media coverage the stock market does. in fact, most people don't find them all that exciting. but, if you're looking for the potential for consistent income that's federally tax-free, now is an excellent time to consider municipal bonds from hennion & walsh. if you have at least 10,000 dollars to invest, call and talk with one of our bond specialists at 1-800-217-3217. we'll send you our exclusive bond guide, free. with details about how bonds can be an important part of your portfolio. hennion & walsh has specialized in fixed income and growth solutions for 30 years, and offers high-quality municipal bonds from across the country. they provide the potential for regular income... are federally tax-free... and have historically low risk. call today to request your free bond guide. 1-800-217-3217. that's 1-800-217-3217. >> dagen: the backlash growing after osama bin laden repulsive letter to america which justifies the 9/11 terror attacks went viral on tiktok. "new york post" summing it up this way. world gone madman. tiktokers praise osama bin laden in shocking new low. videos shared with the hashtag letter to america, had 14 million views. tiktok claims only small number of people were sharing the videos condoning bin laden. tiktok plans to scrub any praise of the letter from the platform, saying we are proactively and aggressively removing this content and investigating how it got on our platform. the number of videos on tiktok is small. reports of it trending on our platform are inaccurate, this is not unique to tiktok and appeared across multiple platforms and media. families of the nearly 3000 individuals brutally murdered on september 11th are outraged by people praising bin laden's hateful letter. one family member telling daily mail, it is hard to watch, perhaps they don't realize the radical terrorist wouldn't hesitate a second to take them hostage or kill them or their families. it is time to reeducate americans what happened to us on 9/11. calls to ban the social media app are swirling once again. here is nikki haley. >> i have long said that we have to ban tiktok. if you didn't know why, there is another example today, posting letters of osama bin laden's letter the week after the 9/11 attack, justification for why he did it. a lot of kids are siding with that, oh, america deserved it at that time. if you don't see that for the chinese intrusion and the foreign ability to message out there to americans, it is a national security threat. >> dagen: ari, your reaction? >> ari: so much to begin with, can you imagine after pearl harbor if americans said, hit ber has good points? that is equivalent of what is happening now. it didn't happen then. it is happening now because teachers have abandoned teaching how wonderful america is and how terrible terrorism is. look at it with pro-american, america is great, these people, there is something wrong with them. that is what our students need to learn, patriotism, love their country for the right reason and based on history. as far as tiktok, i'm not in the ban tiktok category. i don't know you can hold technology down, something else will pop up. i would rather see young people go on tiktok and win the fight, correct this. if your dad or mom was killed on september 11th or you never got to know your parents, you are the tiktok generation. these 20 year olds need to go on tiktok and be more viral than the woman who started this pro-osama bin laden tiktok. it is in the power of good people to communicate better and that is what i would like to see. rather than banning, maybe one day they will ban it, until that day, let the better message prevail on the hands of americans who love this country. >> dagen: lisa, biden's white house did come out and denounce the bin laden letter to america tiktok trend. one word statement used repugnant. but same time, axios comes out with a report today, biden's team weighs joining tiktok to court young voters. what are they -- the osama bin laden is lit voter, is that who they are eyeballing? that is clearly a large part of the people on tiktok willingly diving into that sewage lagoon. >> lisa: this administration continues to speak out both sides of their mouth. they are looking at vote and trying to bring in voters in the 2024 election. if you're china and you want to destroy a country, would you be doing anything different than poisoning the minds of youth through piekt? politicians pointed out there were three million videos featuring free palestinian and 39,000 featuring stand with israel. there is something to be said there. we have done this to ourselves with diversity, equity and inclusion with this oppression versus oppressed and excusing black lives matter burning down cities throughout an entire city. fiery, but peaceful? we have done this to ourselves and dealing with consequences of a broken nation destroying itself from within. >> dagen: emily. >> emily: i appreciate your point, ari. calls to ban tiktok seem overgeneralize, unworkable solution to the real problem i see, china's infection of this country. i hope and look forward to our candidate and lawmakers articulating exactly how they will push back against china. how they will push back on business leaders who change their software and hardware while they make it from chinese elves because it is cheap labor for them over there. we are beholden to that market and to the ccp. we act like, we should ban and looks like we tromp on free speech. perhaps identify, i want to know who sympathizes with bin laden's disgusting framework discussing approach. i want to know so i can be identified and have nothing to do with them and make sure to know who the enemies are among us. i think it is in the interest of free speech, really solid argument. >> lisa: this is getting pretty big. >> dagen: question that needs to be answered, did any money change hands to start this tiktok trend? to you finally. >> this is representation of the echo chamber out there. does relate back to what you share, we are not teaching our kids values of america and what attaches to the greatness of america. goes back to not standing up for the flag. you might have a reason not to stand up, so many reasons to stand up. our children hear on tiktok reason to do the bad and go the other way. a point is the letter to america has been in other places besides tiktok. it was taken off the guardian a few days ago, it was there for 20 years. we have to be supportive of free speech and teach our children to discern from right and wrong, it is critical. >> lisa: well said. >> dagen: "wall street journal" wrote would the u.s. have let the soviet union buy mtv? "wall street journal" first to report that robert hurr likely will not file criminal charges. but his investigation is underway, not complete and he's working on a lengthy report that will take some people to task about recordkeeping. the president's son may not escape the wrath of special counsel david weiss. he is using a grand jury in california to investigate hunter. a grand jury is seated in california to investigate hunter biden is not a surprise. we've known david weiss was looking at california as venue to charge because he said so himself in a court filing back in august. cnn reported there is a california grand jury and hunter's uncle james biden, the president's brother, has received a subpoena. hunlt hunter biden has lived in that area for a number of years. special counsel david weiss said he will likely refile tax charges against hunter in washington, d.c. or california after that plea deal fell apart in a very public way in july. lawyers and tax experts tell fox news that washington, d.c. may not be a venue because when hunter lived here and did not pay taxes, may lie outside the statute of limitations and lived in california, the l.a. area the past few years, meaning those could still be in the statute of limitations. >> lisa: thank you. so ari, start with this. there has been accusation of a double standard. you look at this investigation into donald trump and handling of classified documents and then with joe biden. is there a double standard? is there a different set of facts? >> ari: there is huge amount of evident about weaponization of the federal government to get donald trump. when it comes to donald trump's handling of classified documents, i don't see a double standard. donald trump went too far, he never gave the documents back. in the case of joe biden, he gave the documents back as soon as he realized he had them, with exception of when he was a sitting senator and had a classified document. that is one i can't get my arms around, how did he walk out with the document. one thing if somebody packed your boxes and they went where they didn't belong, you give them back. i had code word and had access to everything. it is sacred and you learn how to handle it, you handle it right. if you inadvertently have a classified document at your home, you immediately give it back to the government when you are told you have it. that is where donald trump got in trouble. i cannot defend donald trump on this. we'll see what they have on biden, i think donald trump is in a different category. >> lisa: emily, news about hunter biden, david weiss brought gun charges in delaware and this news about pursuing a grand jury in california central district on potential tax charges, violation of fara. what does this signify? what are you looking for? >> emily: it signifies the underlying issues that were subject of the plea agreement are now going to be hopefully pursued and investigated or they are being pursued temperature is reassuring in that way. we do not know the years he's being investigated for potential tax evasion, we don't know what ancillary charges are, remains to be seen. i will point everywhere, talk about the disparate nature, there is impact in way of arrest and prosecution and investigations and sentencing. michael ava, sentenced for tax charges and fraud. do you remember that the child, the six year old who shot his teacher, his mother sentenced because she smoked weed and lied about it on gun application form. when you put hunter in the subject line of those things, see what he gets or what happen. it is heartening my tax dollars are going in the right direction. >> lisa: speaks to double standard frustration. dagknow, i would like to have confidence in david weiss, whistleblowers have accused him of letting statute run on burisma income for hunter. do you have faith?
