kevin is live in d.c. >> president biden is in a far more favorable light. in the latest fox survey, somehow this continues to manage a 40% approval rating. give or take 3 or 3 percentage points. but that still means his disapproval numbers are not very good. they're hovering around 660. obviously, that's nothing to write home about. meantime i'm 78% of voters believe the economy is in poor or fair condition, while now over the war in israel. but your thoughts on the numbers overall? i think, you know, there's probably no disputing that people think democrats handle those issues better. the problem is that most voters don't vote based on those issues. i mean, abortion arguably has driven some suburban women towards, you know, voting for republican for democrats when they might otherwise vote for republicans. but i don't think there's many single issue voters on transgenderism, on climate change. i mean, those rank very low when you compare it to concerns about the economy, concerns about crime. so the fact is that republicans are leading on all the issues that are driving voters to the polls that are motivating their votes . and that's why democrats, i think, are really worried about biden's viability right now. yeah, i mean, abortion has been a big issue for them. so that's that's a plus in that column. going back to that number, the anti semitism there, this is the wall street journal writes the following. joe biden faces a deep state revolt, jack. president biden has been learning lately what life is like for a republican presidents part of the deep state, to borrow a phrase, are revolting in opposition to his support for israel against the hamas terrorist responsible for the october 7th massacre. i mean, anti semitism. you look at what's happening across the country and you can see the democrats really are having a tough time with this. yeah, they really are. and i mean, that is one of the most ridiculous letters i've ever seen. i served five different cabinet secretaries. and to administrations. my sister christine is a longtime career official. you just don't do that. a combination of political appointees and career officials anonymously putting their non names on a non on an on a letter and saying that they oppose this. i mean, it is a profile not encouraged to do something like that. but what does it say about those people that they have a problem with this administration and basically siding with israel and against anti semitism? it's shocking. and for clarity, you were talking about the letter signed by 400 biden administration officials, as you know, against his policy in the middle east. lastly the secretary of state said this this to his staff message, quote, we are listening. what you share is informing our policy and our messages. i know that for many of you, the suffering caused by this crisis is taking a profound personal toll. again, talking about that letter signed by 400. but he seems to be intimating here, sarah, that we support israel. but boy, we're listening to other ideas. yeah, i think biden has always engaged in foreign policy through the lens of how it plays domestically with his base. right. i mean, i think that's informed the way he's approached ukraine. the way that he's been soft on china and certainly the way that he's sort of waffling on his support for israel. i think first and foremost, rather than us interests, biden is concerned about the way liberals are going to perceive his foreign policy. and i think you're starting to see that creep into the way that he's approaching israel. it's a really a lose lose situation for biden right now. and sometimes it's more than creeping. it is at a very fast pace. i got to go, jack. i wish i could take it. sarah, jack, thank you both. meantime, in san francisco, the apec conference is about to wrap up, but the protests appear to be ramping up dozens of pro-palestinian protesters arrested tonight after they shut down the san francisco bay bridge. the chief correspondent, jonathan hunt, is live in san francisco with more on the shutdown. jonathan, good evening. good evening to you, tracy. it was not the biggest protest that we have seen this week, but it was certainly the most disrupt captive dozens of pro-palestine protesters driving several vehicles onto the bay bridge, the most heavily trafficked during the rush hour here in san francisco. then stopping those vehicles, completely blocking traffic in one direction when they actually threw the keys from some of those vehicles into the bay itself. so the police have ultimately had to get tow trucks in to move those vehicles. they eventually arrested something like 50 of those protesters. others also today, we saw a similar pro-palestinian protest in boston that one to also shut down a key bridge there in boston for a second nificant amount of time as pro-palestinian groups gathered right across the country. and of course, last night in d.c. we saw those violent clashes between pro-palestinian protesters and police outside the dnc headquarters. listen to this. now, both sides in that the protesters and the police blame each other for the violence. police officers said that the protesters did not heed their commands to unblock the doorways of the dnc headquarters. protesters said, of course, they were simply exercising their first amendment rights. but what worries police in these situations trace, is that these protests could turn into something even more violent. and there was a worrying sign of that today when a group called within our lifetime posted a map of manhattan on social media on which they identified sites that they said were, quote, tied to the genocide in gaza. and that map was under the headline globalize the intifada. among the sites it identified were the headquarters of several media companies, including fox, nbc and the new york times and facebook's parent company, meta. now that post has since been taken down trace, but it is clearly a disturbing sign given that that would seem to have implied that those media headquarters and other companies were targets. this trace yeah. and the damage may already have been done. jonathan, thank you. here in southern california, a pro-palestinian college professor was finally arrested tonight after the death of a 69 year old jewish protester nearly two weeks ago. christina coleman is live with the breaking information on this. christina, good evening. hi. good evening. yeah, a tragic loss, very disturbing. a college professor was arrested for the death of a jewish protester. the 50 year old suspect was charged with two felonies and voluntary manslaughter and battery causing serious bodily injury. authority say the victim. 69 year old paul kessler, who was part of a pro-israel group, died after falling backward during a conference with the suspect. a pro-police supporter at a free palestine rally on november 5th in thousand oaks, a suburb just northwest of l.a. some of the witnesses were pro-palestine, while others were pro-israel. during the investigation at the scene, deputies determined that the altercation with mr. kessler he fell backward and struck his head on the ground. an arrest was not immediately made in this case. it's unclear what evidence the ventura county da's office reviewed to proceed with charges as the local sheriff's office and the da is scheduled to hold a joint news conference on this arrest tomorrow as the community mourns the loss of kessler. but alas, alas, in the last 30 days, we have seen the most shocking rise in anti-semitism and in anti-semitic incidences ever recorded. there must be justice for the murder of paul kessler. and there must be justice. as for those that are being held hostage right now for the people of israel who are being shelled right now in palestine, and as for some of the anti-israel protests sweeping across the country, the free press is reporting that china propaganda millionaire neville roy singham and his wife have donated over $20.4 million dollars since 2017 to a new york city based group that is organized. some of these rallies. singham and his wife denied ties to china despite media reports and the chairman of the house select committee on the ccp, representative mike gallagher, told the free press that chinese media interests are sowing discord in the us in an attempt to divide and weaken america. trace christina, thank you. let's bring in jill simone and director of outreach at prager u. kids and noah pollack from the washington free beacon. great to have you both on set with me. larry summers said this, jill, larry summers, of course, the former treasury secretary who went to harvard, he wrote an op editor in the washington post says, quote, why are universities confused about anti semitism? going on to say, too often those most directly charged with confronting prejudice officer of diversity, equity and inclusion have failed to stand with israel and jewish students confronting anti-semitism. the oldest prejudice of them all. some university die officials have themselves taken positions that are widely viewed as anti-semitic. i mean, he's spot on in this observation, jill. right. and i wish i could say that i am surprised at how many dei consultants and experts and proponents are anti-israel, are anti-semitic. i wish i could say i'm surprised that they are, but i'm not, because at prager u and especially prager u kids, we have been shouting about the dangers of dei for years, and we're seeing it being lived out in real time at universal sees how divisive it is, how genuinely racist it is, and how damaging and destructive and dangerous it is for all of us. and yet, noah, you have columbia university facing protest because they suspended two pro-palestinian groups, right? yeah. but they got the lightest slap on the wrist. they got suspended for the rest of the semester, which is over in three weeks. these these kids are total cry bullies. this is the classic thing we see throughout all these protests is they attack and attack and attack. they're out in campus screaming in the streets for intifada, for murder, supporting hamas. and the moment one little thing happens to them where they get a little bit of pushback, they cry and they all go out and protest that they got any sort of discipline at all when they should actually all be expelled. yeah, they're saying, oh, they're violating our free speech rights and, you know, your free speech rights do not include the death saying calling for the death of others. that's overboard. the new york post writes the following here campus anti-semitism shows it's time to track the foreign cash flowing into universities. since 1986, us universities have received at least 11 billion from arab states, not to mention billions more from china. and they have largely hidden this funding from the public, at least 200 american colleges and universities illegally withheld information on approximately 13 billion in undisclosed contributions from foreign regimes, many of which are anti-semitic or authoritarian. it's always the money, jill, you just got to follow the trail and guess where it leads, right? guess where it leads to destruction and danger again. and i do want to point out, you mentioned china on tiktok today was trending with gen zers, defending osama bin laden. oh, we're going to talk a lot about that coming up in the next block. but yeah, i get your i totally get your that's where we're at. yeah. i mean, terrifying and that is where we're at. and you think and we'll talk. we're going to give you statistics. it's a great tease. thank you, joe, for that because it is it is really baffling. finally, the arrest and the death of 69 year old paul kessler, the southern california man who was allegedly struck with a megaphone at a rally almost two weeks ago. the suspect is loay abdel fattah al-naji. you know, it took a while before they made this arrest and they keep saying, oh, we're possibly looking as a hate crime. yeah. i mean, this guy was on social media posting pro-hamas posts on on on social media. the other thing that's remarkable here is that throughout this whole month, you see over and over again that the pro-palestinian protests tend to be violent. they tend to be intimidating. they tend like we saw at the bay bridge and these other places. they tend to be politely. you could call it politely civil disobedience. the pro-israel protests are not there is just a giant pro-israel protest in dc. you had american flags. you had patriotic sentiments, and that tells you a lot about the nature of this conflict. yeah i think it's a fair assessment. noah jill, thank you both. now to israel's war with hamas, israel says it recovered a laptop inside a gaza hospital. we're talking about al-shifa used as a staging area by the hamas terrorists that contains some very information. an idf forces also recovered the body of one hostage. jeff paul is live for us in tel aviv with the new information on this. jeff. yeah, trace. and there has been a lot of talk about a possible hostage deal in the works. but as we've seen in the past, that is often contingent about what is happening exactly right here on the ground. we're still seeing rockets being fired from gaza into israel. israel is continuing with its military operation in and around northern gaza. so those tense negotiations are often impacted by each hour of this ongoing war. and we got an example of that earlier this evening, some information that the idf put out about a body that their soldiers found that had been abducted, a person who had been abducted back on october seventh, 65 year old yehudit weiss was discovered in a structure the idf says was adjacent to al-shifa hospital. that is where for a second day, israeli forces searched the vast hospital complex. now, through the lens of the idf, we've seen images of the guns, military equipment and now the entrance to a tunnel just outside of that very hospital. they even say they found a laptop with photos and videos of hostages. israeli forces say that alone is evidence that hamas was operating within the hospital complex, but hamas calls it a weak story. that isn't true. the hospital staff says every minute israeli forces put the hospital, quote, under occupation, the chance is of more patients dying only increases. the idf says they're at war with hamas, not civilians. and israeli defense minister yoav galant adding they remain focused on rooting out hamas from northern gaza in a precise manner. the more we deepen this operation, increase the pressure on hamas and erode more headquarters, damage more tunnels and eliminate more operatives and bring down more heads of organization, the greater the chance of returning our hostages. because this enemy only understands the power. and we explain to him very well what power is now inside gaza, the humanitarian crisis. according to aid workers, there is only deepening telephone and internet service has been reportedly cut off. food is lacking very, very little clean water, very little fuel. and the un says that is only making the situation even more devastating for the people who call that area home. trey. indeed, jeff, stay safe. thank you. let's bring in former pentagon official and retired navy captain brant sadler, former state department senior adviser, christian white. and gentlemen, thank you both very much. appreciate this. israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu said this on cbs tonight. watch i said that we would have a temporary cease fire only if we have our hostages back and haven't changed. what i said sounds brant to me like the cease fire is very much in play. oh, if that question is for me, yes, i would say the conditions still remain the same. when the hostages are relieved or released back to israel. and also american hostages. well, then then a cease fire can be discussed. but again, the number one priority and why there is this war is the destruction of hamas. and that needs to stay top foremost. yeah. the jerusalem post writes the following here. idf's next steps in gaza hostage deal or southern offensive, whether israel agrees to a deal or not, which hamas has been desperate for even the possibility of being close to a deal may currently be slowing. the push into southern gaza. so just consider doing this deal could benefit hamas. christian yeah, well, it could and it will. and i don't think the israelis are going to go for it because they know hamas is obviously not negotiating a good faith and hamas is not going to turn over any live hostages unless someone has a gun pointed at their head and is willing to pull the trigger. the fastest, most humane way to end a war is to do so rapidly with overwhelming force. so, you know, this is a real problem. i think the biden administration is leaning on the israelis to go slow to fall for these hamas pals minion tricks. and in reality, what needs to happen is a rapid move to the south and a rapid consolidation of control over all of gaza. yeah, i got about 30s for both of you. one more question. they found a lot of evidence in this al-shifa hospital, brant and it's very compelling and very. everything from arabic published military wing booklets, maps, you name it, maps getting out of there. what do you think about that? well, i don't think it's going to be enough to convince those people that you see on the streets and protesting in the united states , let alone around the world. but the big challenge will be, you know, will the palestinians have a better life six months when the fighting stops under something other than hamas? and that will be the real litmus test for a lasting and enduring peace that the israelis can, quite frankly live with. yeah, if 30s christian, you know, this is a failure of president biden. yes. he went to israel and he put his arm around prime minister netanyahu, but he's been equivocating morally here, trying to have it both ways, saying we're with israel, but also saying that israel needs to fight a humane war and comply with the law of wars, which they do. we need to be unequivocal that israel needs to root out these people. these people want to kill us as much as they want to kill israelis. yeah. christian brant, thank you. coming up, a letter written by osama bin laden is now viral on tiktok. and despite killing some 3000 americans, many young americans somehow sympathize with bin laden. and later, in viewed at least 14 million times. marianne rafferty is live with more on this disturbing development. marianne, good evening. yeah, good evening, trace. disturbing indeed over two decades ago, infamous al qaeda leader osama bin laden penned a letter to america that argued that the creation and continuation of israel is one of the greatest crimes, saying the oppression of palestine had to be, quote, revenged. and a british daily newspaper publishing that letter in 2002. but now the guardian has removed the link since it went viral this week on tiktok. in light of the israel-hamas war, a generation of tiktok and x users have been making posts suggesting bin laden was not the bad guy. tiktok says it's aggressively removing this kind of content, but some lawmakers are asking why it took so long to take it down. i get concerned. let's go back to tiktok for a moment. 40% of young people were on tiktok between 18 and 24. get all of their news from tiktok. a spokesperson for tiktok telling fox news digital, quote, content promoting this letter clearly violates our rules on supporting any form of terrorism. the spokesperson also pushed back on claims that the videos praising the 9/11 mastermind have gone viral, adding that the number of videos on the platform were small and that the incident is not unique to tiktok, noting that videos have also appeared across multiple platforms. still, we've heard from republicans like mike gallagher, who say this is just more evidence of why tiktok should be banned here in the us. trace yeah, a lot more evidence. marianne, thank you. let's bring in stephanie hamel, media research center, tv contributing writer and erin elmore, attorney and turning point usa contributor. thank you both for coming on here. i mean, this topic here is getting a lot of play on social media and everywhere else. and if you're wondering why some young americans on the tiktok say they sympathize with bin laden, just put this up and consider this in that letter to america that bin laden wrote, it was viewed 4.5 million times, one third of adults under 30 scroll tiktok for their news. that's a 255% increase, 52% of 18 to 24 year olds side more with israel, 48% of 18 to 24 year olds side more with hamas. and aaron, you look at this and with the margin of error of 3, that's a dead heat. your thoughts? it's terrible. and let's face it, tiktok is a chinese communist party spying tool. not only are they stealing data from our phones, but they are trying to poison the minds of americans, whether it's about hamas or osama bin laden or anti-semitism or children with gender ideology. this is intentional. and we're not even talking about what they're doing to our phones and stealing our data, flooding our border with fentanyl through mexico and stealing our intellectual property. now, you hear people on both sides of the political aisle saying, wait a minute, this is censorship free speech in america. let me tell you this, trace. guess what? they don't have in china. instagram facebook, twitter. now why are we offering them a different opportunity when it's just harming our country and trying to build a better chinese presence and distract us from what's really going on over there? yeah ayaan hirsi ali said the following here about whether or not she's surprised. watch this. i'll have to say i am surprised. i'm shocked. i'm disgusted. like everyone else. but not that the kids not that the 25 year old to 20 year old tiktok users is. it's our education system. it's our media system. and, stephanie, you talk about this all the time. yeah. i mean, it's just totally devastating to see young people content going to trash this country. me and tiktok is allowing it to happen. right? so you have to look at the algorithms. why would something like this be boosted? and because this is from a chinese technology firm, we don't have access to the inner workings of what's going on there and why this was allowed up there for so long. and of course, it's a balancing act, right? people have the right to the freedom of speech. but why would young people be talking about this in the first place? why would you be sympathetic with the mastermind of 911 that took 3000 thousand american lives and changed this country forever? i mean, it just makes your heart sink. but it's not just a tiktok problem. it's a multi layer issue, right? it runs deep in the schools, in the media, celebrities, hollywood, everything thing. and these these young people, stephanie, do not have context. they don't know anything about what happened on 9/11 because they haven't studied it. they don't know anything about hamas because they haven't studied it. they're just repeating. they're parroting what they hear. some believe that with tiktok, aaron, that the chinese government can really just put whatever message they want to in front of young americans. and i think that's actually a fairly fair assessment. i agree with you completely. it's what they're seeing. it's what they're consuming. and i do think going back to the schools , our children are being fed propaganda from such a young age, whether it's die where you are, either the oppressed or the oppressor. and these young kids as young as kindergarten are learning this and they think, wait a minute, osama bin laden is oppressed. wait a minute, the people of hamas are oppressed and americans, because we have given ourselves a constitutional republican opportunities. we are bad. and this is what is happening in america. and this is what you see happening in third world banana republics cuba, venezuela, china. and here you have it happening at home in our own soil. and that's why the days of passive parenting are over. we've got to look at everything our kids are learning in school and pay very close attention. and i didn't mean to cut you off there, stephanie. i want to give you the chance to kind of respond to the whole context thing. we were talking about because we send cameras out every time there's these rallies. we send cameras out. we interview some of these young people and we ask them basic questions that they should know if you're going to ask for the eradication of jews in israel, you should know some basic context. and they don't seem to know what they're speaking about when they say that your final thoughts on this trace. i've been to a lot of these protests in washington, in dc that you're talking about. and oftentimes i would pick the brains of those who are there to really find out why they were so outraged. and you can never really get a good answer. they're just there because they feel like they should be there or they were told to be there. and it's all about context, right? you need to be informed. you need to know history so that you can have a smart opinion on what's going on. and if you for some reason, find some sort of a moral equivalence between the unimaginable atrocities committed by hamas and israel defending itself, you should seek help. and this ties in with this viral video that was trending on tiktok because they were trying to make some sort of comparison there that they're sympathizing ing with osama bin laden and how terrible america is and that we deserved it for some reason. and there are people out there who believe israel deserves what happened to them by hamas and these these terrorists, these evil people. and if you're not going to seek help, at least do your homework, do your homework. read up on it aaron. stephanie thank you. coming up, what president biden has to say about california governor gavin newsom becoming your next president. and later in the nightcap, a college professor in california sent an email to his students harshly criticizing any of them who might be conservative. don't you know we're going to read it to you. we're going to have carl demaio talk about it. but should college professors lecture their students about which party to christina coleman is back live with that story. christina. hi. yeah it was definitely interesting this week, california governor gavin newsom has been getting bashed left and right. his critics say he's rolled out the red carpet for chinese communist dictator xi jinping during his visit to san francisco. the city finally cleaned up some of its filthy streets that have been covered in homeless encampments for years ahead of xi's visit, newsom also gifted the communist dictator with a golden state warriors jersey during this week's apec summit. despite criticism for cozying up to xi during the conference, president joe biden took this moment to endorse newsom for his job in front of world leaders. take a listen. two years ago, when the united states offered to host this summit, we knew we'd need a location dynamic and diverse. and as apec itself an apex in san francisco, here we are. i want to talk about governor newsom. i want to thank him. he's been one hell of a governor man. matter of fact, he could be anything you want. he could have on the job. i'm looking for. some political watchers say it's very clear that newsom is gearing up to run for the oval office. pennsylvania senator john fetterman says newsom doesn't have the guts to announce it yet. there are two there are two additional democrats running for pennsylvania excuse me, running for president right now. one one in is a congressman from minnesota. the other one is the governor of california. they're both running for president, but only one had the guts to announce it . bold words. now there's been even more rumors of newsom running a shadow campaign due to his recent trip to israel and his trip to china, which involved meeting with president xi jinping. though newsom still maintains that he is not running for office, not running . we'll find out. let's bring in reform california chairman carl demaio, who has insight on whether gavin newsom is running for. i just want to play the sound bite again. i'm going to play a shorter version of what christina said. this is president biden. and everybody was kind of saying when he said that she was a dictator, they kind of had the same the same ideas. right. so let's watch this. i want to talk about governor newsom. i want to thank him. he's been one hell of a governor, man, matter of fact, he could be anything you want. he could have the job. i'm looking for the job. i'm looking for one. he's got the job, by the way, right now, when he says newsom is one hell of a governor. no, no, it's a hell hole in california. the hell is out here. we have the highest cost of living of any state, $26,000, according to a report released last week. higher for the middle class in california versus the national averages. a soaring crime rate homelessness epidemic and of course, our schools are failing by every measure, this governor is a failure and now he wants a promotion. well in joe biden's world, that must make him like the best alternative to what he's doing, which is not good. yeah, everybody was a little bit surprised at a few things last night. okay. i want to move on to this because this is loyola university here in los angeles. the professor's name is julius doyle, and he wrote this to his students in an email quoting identifying as a conservative does not necessarily equate to endorsing kkk style radicalism. however, it does imply supporting political ideology that have historically perpetuated racism, sexism, homophobia and xenophobia. this is precisely why we observe the co-existence of moderate conservative and far or alt right conservatives on the same side of the political spectrum and but i just want to finish this. yes i am calling out the conservatives. he writes of this class, if you are conservative in this class, you should be absolutely engaged in deep, deep self-reflection about why you hold conservative values. given the context of the history we are reviewing. carl, isn't this like when your mom sent you to your room saying, i want you to go to your room and i want you to think about what you've done? this is a shame effort, right? and so what it does is it intimidates, it bullies, it stifles any sort of political debate or expression in this is exactly the opposite of what this professor should be doing. this professor professor should be terminated. okay. there is no room for someone like this in a classroom because he is the antithesis of what a professor should be encouraging. by the way, he's is dead wrong on history. the last time i checked, the democrat party historically was responsible for the jim crow laws and the kkk. and speaking of did he get fired? well, here's loyola marymount university, the statement we embrace the complexities that result from the freedom of expression where students and professors engage in open inquiry, challenging prevailing ideas and explore diverse perspectives. it's not open inquiry. this is a shame campaign. what the hell is that word? salad statement? i don't know. it says absolutely nothing. it's a bunch of platitudes. the only appropriate statement is we're sorry that students were treated this way. this professor is no longer on our faculty. that is. that is it. that is the only acceptable response. we wouldn't be justified if we didn't end with gavin newsom. newsom pushing california universities to boost campus safety as protests rage over middle east war. the key thing here is he wants to cultivate spaces for affinity and dialog amid amid rising anti-semitism and islamophobia. yeah, the when i watch the marches all across the country, i don't really see are we missing are we not covering the islamophobic marches? no. and i've always said, look, i'm open to seeing islamophobe here. bring me the story, bring me the incident. i'm seeing a lot of anti-semitism right now. also, newsom did not do a press conference on this. he didn't do a video. he's always doing big grandstanding press conferences. he sent a very modest letter. i mean, this is like, hey, i have to send this because i don't want to anger the jewish donors for my presidential campaign and jewish supporters. so what i'm going to do is i'm going to send a letter and hope people aren't going to notice i'm doing it. this guy understands what what is at stake here. and that is we need to create a safe environment for these kids to express themselves without hate speech. yeah, but it seems like one side is getting attacked a lot more than the other. carl, great to have you on. as always. up next, we have the letter one college professor in california sent to his students. we just read a chunk of it. they might be conservative, right? might have different points of view. should professors influence their students politics? still time to weigh in on x and instagram. we're going to have the nightcap crew talk about it next. a meteorologist, steve benner. and here's your fox professor. as we're kind of talking to carl about, decided to call out his conservative students via email saying they needed some deep self-reflection on why they held those values. so the question tonight is, should college professors lecture their students about which party they should or should not belong to? so let's start this one with jill, simone and jill, because it's kind of interesting. you kind of heard some of the stuff we were talking to carl about earlier. i mean, he literally dressed down these students and didn't know their political ideology just on the chance that they might be concerned of he wanted to give them the what for in case they were thinking about going that way. right. well, i'm not surprised. this is what college institutions have become, even the highest institution means people should be able students should be able to attend college to learn how to think, to discuss different ideas, to debate, have civil discourse, you know, all of those foundational things that our country was founded upon. right. but but no, that doesn't happen anymore. so i'm kind of angry at this college professor. actually marianne yeah. and as a mom of two boys, i feel the same way. college is about critical thinking, learning to debate, you know, having conversation. and if you take that away, what's the use? yeah, it's right. i mean, i always say this and carl demaio, tell me if i'm wrong, if i'm in high school, i should never know my teacher's political ideology, never know it in college. i can know it, but don't tell me that i'm wrong because you because you're i'm not the same. but if you do know your teachers political ideology, they should be very receptive to your ideas and challenge you and also be willing to be challenged. my debate coach in high school, a far left democrat, he made me better, but he never made me feel marginalized or ashamed. and that's what that professor did to that entire class. yeah. kevin caught you in one second. but first, tonight, cap paul, should college professors lecture their students on political ideology? yes. 3. no. 97. instagram 3.97. professors should not be teaching, says mike. they're opinions. they should be teaching students to develop critical thinking skills that enable them to decide for themselves. as kevin sweeney says, it's not a level relationship to disagree with. the assistant professor puts the student at a disadvantage, jeopardizes their ability to participate in class and their grades. and tommy says the professor should oblige by socrates democracy is only as good as the education that surrounds it. nicely said kevin cork. yes, indeed. listen, i had a great professor who once said the two best parts of my job are to instruct and to inspire, to inspire you to think for yourself. and too often now students in college campuses, they're shading the way they write their papers because they're afraid of stepping out a line that shouldn't be. yeah kevin cork, great stuff. thank you all for joining the nightcap. and thank you all for watching america's late news fox news at night. i'm trace gallagher in los angeles. we'll see you right back here for a
