The latest government filing contains the clearest picture yet of how Dominic Pezzola made his way from Monroe County to Washington, D.C., before the United States Capitol riots on Jan. 6 and how he allegedly coordinated with fellow Proud Boys.
Prosecutors Tuesday, in a 23-page filing, detailed why Matthew Greene of Syracuse, who is charged alongside Pezzola and William Pepe, should remain jailed. The response also shows how members of the Proud Boys communicated before and after the riots.
Greene, Pezzola, and Pepe each face multiple counts, including conspiracy, as prosecutors allege they participated in efforts to stop Congress from certifying the presidential election results on Jan. 6.
