but we are about 30 minutes into the trading day. let s head to the markets desk where julie hyman has the latest. julie: less exciting if you look at stocks. u.s. politics are quite exciting , but we are seeing little change right now after the dow and s&p close to record gains. any gains today would be another record for the major averages, but we are not there at the moment. the s&p falling back at the moment. the nasdaq gaining a little bit of ground, but we are seeing a mixed to little change market. even after we see this continuing rally in u.s. stocks, we ll talk about how it is an unloved rally. yet another measure of that is fund flows in the u.s. we have g #btv 2036. this is the upward climb that we have seen. here are fund flows. we have actually seen some outflows from the u.s. equity funds and that reflects again the story of mixed sentiment or at least confuse sentiment about u.s. stocks. getting back to individual movers here, let s take a look at the ai ....

trading day. this jobs data, let s head straight to the desk. i am looking at the markets right now, and although it s early, we are at session highs right now. this is where we stand because of that seller jobs data that did come out at 8:30 a.m. the dow, s&p, and the nasdaq are all up on the order of .7 or more, nearly 1% higher for the nasdaq. the s&p 500, look at this number, actually that is now our new record intraday high off of that jobs data. let s see what s been happening in terms of the pop we saw. let s take a look at an e.s.a. n terms of the last few hours. this came in right after the jobs data, short of 55,000, a jobs reporter for the july, and we saw that coming in, out 2160, past the mark, and we re just up near those record highs. this is where we stand. in addition to that, we ve got some earnings to tell you about as well, as something happening in the cancer drug industry. this has to be with bristol-myers squibb, down 17%. it turns out its lung ....
late arrival. yes, i did. well, let s get you up to speed among the markets this morning. futures right now, very strong yesterday, not as strong in terms of the market move with the indices, in terms of volume as well. we had strong volume in the last couple of trading days, and we re looking at declines today, offset over 1% of gains all three indices looking at down. dow down by 12, s&p by 5 and nasdaq down by 12 points. and disney earnings estimates came short for the first time in five years. advertising and slumps decline at espn is weaker than expected. more on that story in just a minute. first, let s show you what happened overnight in global markets. this morning, over in asia, we got a slight gain for the nikkei, just barely. looked like we were going to continue the rally that we saw in yesterday s session but asian shares did close smaller. shankly closing up fractionally. as for the early action in europe, we ve been watching the banks and resource compani ....
