used, and i also thought it was weaponizing skin color. so? not sort of something that is specific to party. it's a terrible, terrible tactic. but when you look at florida, there are so many things happening down there. i certainly think it will backfire. >> amy, i want your take on that. it keeps coming up. this day and age with the tone knowing the sensitivity, race relations, too, that again the point that basel brought up, a harvard educated man knowing now than any other time, word choices, phrases that are used are important and can be construed and misinterpreted in many ways, but yet that was still the term. >> absolutely. and i agree with basel. this has nothing to do with party affiliation. it's unfortunate that he did decide to use those choice of words. he also said that he wasn't going to apologize because that wasn't his intent. but i still believe that he should have apologized, especially with the sensitivity of the words that he did use.
