Chennai test| India vs England 2021: Stop blaming the pitch

The Chennai Test was won by a team that showed better ability with the bat in conditions favourable for spin bowling.

England captain Joe Root was quite candid in his post-match comments after his team’s 317-run defeat in Chennai on Tuesday. The England skipper credited India for being the better team in the manner in which they handled a difficult pitch that was spinning spitfires from outset. But what can be said of Root cannot of some experts, including former England captain Michael Vaughan, who slammed the quality of the pitch for being disproportionately in favour of spinners and not lasting the five days.
