While Ravichandran Ashwin is the first Indian cricketer to do so this season, Andrew Tye (Rajasthan Royals), Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson (Royal Challengers Bangalore) flew back to Australia. Ashwin, who turned up for Delhi Capitals against Sunrisers Hyderabad in his hometown Chennai on Sunday night, announced his decision on Twitter. “I would be taking a break from this year’s IPL from tomorrow. My family and extended family are putting up a fight against #COVID19 and I want to support them during these tough times. I expect to return to play if things go in the right direction.
