BRICK, NJ — A Brick Township woman was killed Monday night when she was hit by a car on Route 70 after she ran into traffic, police said.
Kathleen M. Winits, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene, Brick Sgt. Jim Kelly said.
Winits was hit just before 7 p.m. on Route 70 at Olden Street, in the westbound lanes approaching the Brick Motor Inn motel, Kelly said. She was not in a crosswalk, and witnesses told police Winits had run into traffic moments before she was hit.
