A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of a 16-month-old baby boy in Heidelberg in the Western Cape.
Police said the child was snatched on Monday morning, following a domestic dispute between his mother and her ex- boyfriend at their home in Dollo Squire.
According to police, the suspect allegedly threatened the 17-year-old mother before fleeing with the child into the bushes.
Nicolin Davids family unhappy with investigation after studentâs death

Cape Town - The family of slain nursing student Nicolin Davids, who was allegedly knocked by a police vehicle in 2019, expressed frustration with the investigation into the 26-year-oldâs death, saying they have been left in the dark by authorities.
Family spokesperson Purcilla Hunter said after one year and four months, they are no nearer to getting closure on Davidsâs death and alleged âarrogantâ responses from the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) further exacerbated their fight for justice, as investigators were treating the family âas if we are nothingâ.
