The Syracuse Crunch defeated the Utica Comets and claimed the Galaxy Cup with a 4-2 victory Saturday at the Upstate Medical University Arena. The Crunch has won the season series against the Comets and taken the Galaxy Cup in each of the last five seasons. Tonight’s win advances the team to 18-9-3-0 on the season and 7-4-2-0 with one game remaining in the 14-game season series with Utica. Spencer Martin recorded the win as he turned aside 35-of-37 shots in net for the Crunch. Joel Hofer stopped 26-of-30 between the pipes for the Comets.
