Nadiyah Rivera wanted to show her support for the family of Daunte Wright, who was shot and killed by a Minnesota police officer on Sunday. There were plenty of protests going on in other big cities, but Rivera decided to start her own here at home in Scranton. LITTLETON The police departments of Littleton, Westford and Groton are joining forces to aid an Arkansas-based animal shelter in acquiring goods for animals in their care. The three departments are cosponsoring a Fill the Cruisers event at Loyal Companion, a pet supply chain with a location at The Point in Littleton. The event takes place Dec. 19, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants are asked to purchase items for collection by the police. The goods drive benefits ArkanPaws Animal Rescue, a nonprofit organization based in Conway, Arkansas. Littleton Police Chief Matthew Pinard said Reserve Officer Heather Rhodes, an ArkanPaws volunteer, will be present with K9 Officer Brian Casey. ....
