Patrick Eaken By a 4-0 vote on Tuesday, the Oregon City Schools Board of Education voted to leave the Three Rivers Athletic Conference and join the Northern Lakes League. The addition of Clay, Whitmer, Findlay and Fremont Ross to the NLL will create an 11-team league that will begin play in 2023-24, unless the schools are released from their current conferences earlier. Fremont Ross voted to accept the invitation on April 12 followed by Findlay on April 19. The NLL will be divided into two divisions. ....
Clay’s NLL membership gets a step closer to reality Published by sports@presspub. on Thu, 04/15/2021 - 1:46pm The Northern Lakes League invited four schools, Clay, Fremont Ross, Whitmer, and Findlay, to join the league. The vote by the NLL’s principals was unanimous. Oregon City Schools Superintendent Hal Gregory says he plans to present a resolution to the board at its next regular meeting on April 20. If the school boards from those four districts vote to leave the Three Rivers Athletic Conference and join the NLL, the NLL will have 11 teams effective the 2023-24 season. “We look forward to hearing back from these schools in the coming days to formally accept this invitation,” stated an NLL press release. “We anticipate that these new members will join our league beginning with the 2023-24 season. ....
