Penn Power Invests Nearly $9.5 Million in Tree-Trimming Work to Help Minimize Impact of Severe Weather

NEW CASTLE, Pa., April 7, 2021 /PRNewswire/  Penn Power, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE), is conducting tree trimming and other vegetation management work in communities across its western Pennsylvania service area to help enhance service reliability for customers. This year s nearly $9.5 million tree-trimming program will help keep power flowing to customers around the clock by preventing tree-related outages, such as those that can occur during the spring and summer storm season.
Since the beginning of the year, tree contractors have trimmed trees along nearly 300 miles of electric lines across the Penn Power service area. The company s program remains on track to complete an additional 900 miles of tree-trimming work by the end of the year. ....

THE grieving family of a man shot dead by cops in his front garden have declared: “He will forever be in our hearts.”
Tragic George Nkencho, 27, was laid to rest today after being shot multiple times in a stand-off with gardai outside his family home in December.

The funeral at the Sacred Heart Church in Hartstown, Dublin, was limited to ten people in line with Covid-19 restrictions.
But a crowd of more than 100 friends and neighbours gathered outside, with some holding posters demanding “justice and truth” for their pal. ....

George Nkencho death 'untimely and unplanned' | Greenock Telegraph


George Nkencho, 27, died outside his Dublin home in December.
He was allegedly brandishing a knife and threatened gardai before he was shot by members of an armed support unit.
Mr Nkencho was suffering from mental health issues at the time.

“It was untimely, unplanned and unwanted, but he is welcomed into the bosom of the Lord.
