Racheal Nicholls, 51, said she chose to go and live in the countryside for peace and tranquillity. But she has described living without electricity as a frightening and traumatic experience, especially at nights. She said her landlords Victor and Eastlyn Lewis have ignored continuous pleas to restore the power. ....

After a while I found myself totally caught up with the content of the discourse on his writing. What emerged was that he was the screen-writer for one of my favourite films based on perhaps the best known of his novels, ‘The Remains of the Day.’ Regrettably I have not read the novel, but a few weeks ago I watched the movie for the third time. ....

(GP) Social Share Southpaw strongman Triston Gibbons flexed his muscles to a new national shot put record at the Drakes Relays on Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa. Competing for the University of Houston, the 21-year-old Gibbons put the shot to a lifetime best 18.89 metres. While Gibbons finished fifth, he erased his previous best mark of 18.75 he set at the 93rd Houston Spring Break Invitational on March 27 when he broke Tristan Whitehall’s 2015 Barabdos record of 17.45 metres. The former Coleridge & Parry and Harrison College student also had a big heave of 18.73 metres on April 10 at the Texas A&M Team Invitational. ....
