Pamela Smart: How she convinced William Flynn to murder her husband

Portsmouth Herald HAMPTON Pamela Smart has had a lot of time to think about the murder of her husband, Gregg, and the trial that resulted in her conviction and put her behind bars with no chance for parole.  She maintains to this day she is not the cold-blooded vixen portrayed in the movie “To Die For” or the Black Widow mastermind behind her husband’s death.   “I didn’t get a fair trial,” said Smart, 53, in a recent interview from the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in New York. “It was a media circus, and I was found guilty in the court of public opinion long before I even stepped in the courtroom.

Sad goodbye: Urban Farmhouse Eatery closes in North Hampton, NH

NORTH HAMPTON  The news hit hard this week: The Urban Farmhouse Eatery is closing, leaving the community without one of its favorite gathering spots for food and comfort. With a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page last week, owner Renee Locke explained that when she opened four and a half years ago, she hung a sign reading “Enter as strangers, leave as friends.” The sign would “shape who we became,” Locke wrote, making them grateful to be invited to be part of the lives of the community and those who patronized the Route 1 breakfast and lunch restaurant. “Bearing witness to your traditions, your milestones, your successes and your growing families are just some of the reasons this is such a difficult post to write,” Locke stated.
