Apr 19, 2021 HANLEY FALLS Â A motorist was airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital after his car struck a tree on Friday, the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office said. The crash is under investigation. The Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a one-vehicle crash at the intersection of Yellow Medicine County Road 18 and Minnesota Highway 23 in Hanley Falls, a news release said. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Adrian Olby, 47. Olby was traveling eastbound on County Road 18 when he lost control of his vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office said. The vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree. Adrian was injured in the crash and was airlifted from the scene by North Memorial Air Care, the Sheriff’s Office said. ....

Mar 31, 2021 HANLEY FALLS Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 23 Tuesday evening, the Minnesota State Patrol said. A Slayton man and a Raymond man were taken to area hospitals with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said. The crash was reported at 6:04 p.m. at Minnesota Highway 23 and 510th Street in Hanley Falls. A 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Leighton Riley Helmuth, 18, of Raymond, was northbound on 510th Street, and a 2002 Chevy Silverado driven by William Joseph Robinson, 62, of Slayton, was southbound on Highway 23 when the vehicles collided. Robinson was taken to Avera Marshall Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, and Helmuth was taken to Avera Granite Falls with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said. ....
