There have been two highway crashes north of Byron this morning. Northbound traffic was reduced to one lane shortly before 8.30am after two cars crashed near Chinderah Bay Drive. Police were on-scene but the incident was declared over by 8.50am. Meanwhile a clean-up was still happening at Crabbes Creek near Hulls Road after a truck rolled over shorty after 5am. A Transport Management Centre spokesman said the driver got out of the truck alive but Northbound traffic was reduced to one lane and was expected to stay that way for until shortly before 10am. The spokesman said the Pantech truck had been carrying furniture and other items and there was debris on the road. ....

Long-Time Signal Mountain Christian School Principal To Retire Wednesday, March 17, 2021 Danette Kelley, the principal of Signal Mountain Christian School, has announced plans to retire after leading the school for the past 14 years. Prior to serving as principal, Mrs. Kelley was a parent of an SMCS student, a volunteer, and then a Board member, along with her husband, Pat. SMCS Board Chairman David Moss said that this was difficult news for everyone in the SMCS community. “In many ways Danette is the heart and soul of the school. She and her husband Pat have been involved for 22 of the 23 years that SMCS has been in operation. She has touched the lives of hundreds of students and parents, and she has guided us safely through growth and many changes.” ....
