Mangaluru: Three-day annual feast of Infant Jesus Shrine to begin on Jan 14   Sat, Jan 02 2021 03:16:03 PM Media Release Mangaluru, Jan 2: The annual feast of Infant Jesus at Infant Jesus Shrine, Carmel Hill, Bikarnakatte, will be celebrated on January 14,15 and 16, informed Fr Rovel D’Souza OCD, director, Infant Jesus Shrine. Addressing media on Saturday January 2, Fr Rovel said, “The festal Mass on January 14 at 10.30 am will be presided over by Fr Ronald Serrao, Rector of St Joseph’s Seminary and at 6 pm will be presided over by Dr Francis Serrao, bishop of Shimoga. The festal Mass on January 15 at 10.30 am will be presided over by Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, bishop of Mangalore and at 6 pm will be presided over by Fr Maxim Noronha, vicar general of Mangalore Diocese. The festal Mass on January 16 at 10.30 am will be presided over by Fr Paul Melwin D’Souza OFM Cap, vicar for Religious, and at 6.00 pm will be presided over by Dr Aloysius Paul D Souza, bishop emeritus.

Mangaluru: Catholic Sabha hails Daijiworld s mission during lockdown, honours Walter Nandalike   Sun, Dec 13 2020 06:13:32 PM Pics: Stanly Bantwal Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SB) Mangaluru, Dec 13: Catholic Sabha Mangaluru Pradesh on Sunday December 13 felicitated Walter Nandalike, founder and managing director of Daijiworld Media, for the mission undertaken by Daijiworld to serve those stranded during the coronavirus lockdown, at the annual conference held at Bishop’s House, Kodialbail here. It may be recalled that when the lockdown was suddenly imposed in the country and the state earlier this year at start of the pandemic, thousands were stranded due to lack of access to food and medicines. In a mission to help the stranded people in the coastal region, Daijiworld had launched an initiative which evoked massive response from people.
