The Michelin-starred restaurant is always a desirable destination, but for those after a more casual dining experience, we highly recommend its little sister at the back of the building, Galvin Bistrot & Bar. It s their take on the typical bistros you can find in Paris or Lyons, the kind you always want to find when you re on holiday in France, with instantly familiar interiors - all gleaming metro tiles, tin ceiling and bentwood chairs - and time-honoured dishes from the French repertoire. Transmission Gully was the first motorway in New Zealand set up under a PPP model by the National government in 2012. The road was supposed to be completed in April 2020 but was delayed by more than a year because of significant re-estimation of earthwork requirements, storm events, the Kaikōura earthquake and Covid-19. However, a report commissioned last year after the Transport Agency had to pay more than $200 million to get it back on track, found the project was flawed from the start. ....
Brits throw away 1.4m edible bananas every day according to figures released in 2017Â from Wrap, the government s waste advisory body. The figures from Wrap found that 30 per cent of consumers will throw away a banana if it has minor bruising or a black mark. If the banana is green anywhere on the skin, 13 per cent will throw the fruit away. But bananas that are damaged or overripe can be used for other things such as baking, or in salads and smoothies.
