Deaths in Kilkenny, Wednesday, April 28, 2021 Rest in peace The late Kieran Brennan The death has occurred of Kieran Brennan, Dundrum, Dublin and Drumgoole, Castlecomer, Kilkenny. Peacefully at St Vincent s University Hospital, Dublin surrounded by his family. Kieran is sadly missed by his wife Christine, children Eoin, Christina, Ciaran, Enda, Ciara and Siobhán, grandchildren, sisters Ann, Kathleen, Rita and brother Michael, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 29 at 11am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Castlecomer (for immediate family only) followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. ....
Deaths in Kilkenny, Wednesday, March 10, 2021 Rest in peace The late Michael Mooney The death has occurred of Michael Mooney, Clone, Freshford, Kilkenny / Durrow, Laois. Peacefully, in the fantastic care of the staff in St Gabriel’s Unit, St Canice’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by his daughter Lisa, granddaughter Amy and brother Dan. Sadly missed by his wife Karen, daughter Adele, son-in-law Gareth, grandsons John and Matthew, sisters Kay (UK) and Ber, plus many friends and relatives in Ireland, United Kingdom and Australia. In accordance with HSE guidelines, a private Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday morning at 11am in Holy Trinity Church, Durrow, followed by burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. John died, peacefully, in University Hospital, Waterford, on Thursday, January 28. John will be sadly missed by his loving wife May, daughter Martina, son John, son-in-law Murt, daughter-in-law Elizabeth, his adored and adoring grandchildren James, Amy, Phoebe, Róisín and Kirstyn, his extended family, both here, in the UK and the USA, his neighbours and friends. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at the University Hospital Waterford, the Renal Unit Kilkenny, the Health Centre Graignamanagh and Kissane s Pharmacy Graignamanagh for the wonderful care they have shown John. Due to current government Covid-19 restrictions, a private burial service and prayers will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Graignamanagh, at noon on Saturday, January 30. ....
