The Walt Disney Company is launching Disney+ Hotstar in Malaysia on 1 June with Astro as the official distributor. Disney+ Hotstar launches with several iconic entertainment brands, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. At the same time, the company has entered into a series of multi-year agreements with Malaysian studios such as Skop Productions, Revolution Media Films, Primeworks Studios, WAU Animation, Act 2 Pictures, Les’ Copaque Production, and Red Films, among others, underpinning its support for the local film community.
According to Disney, the multi-year agreements mean Disney+ Hotstar will be the exclusive home to some of the upcoming blockbusters in Malaysia, which will skip theatres and launch straight on the streaming service. They include ....

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian film lovers will have much to celebrate come June 1, as the highly anticipated streaming service, Disney+ Hotstar will be launching in Malaysia.
This service will provide Malaysians with a variety of content from the likes of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic.
Viewers will also be able to catch a wide array of entertainment series and young adult films from Malaysia and Asia all on the same platform. ....

Today, the news of Disney+ launching in Malaysia is finally coming true. As expected like our neighbour, Singapore, the name will be
Disney+ Hotstar and will start streaming on 1 June 2021. Besides the huge library collection of Disney movies, Star Wars and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there will be local contents as well such as

So how does this work? Well, you can watch this on Astro or online (iOS and Android). The package fee that was introduced so far starts from RM54.90 for three months. In comparison with the Netflix Premium package, that s a lot way affordable since it s just around RM18 per month. Walt Disney Company is set to launch its Disney Plus Hotstar streaming service in Malaysia from June 1. The platform will boast a significant local content component in addition to the mainstay Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic brands.
The launch is being held in association with Astro, the country’s leading pay-TV platform. Consumers can also stream the service from the company’s website or download an app for mobile devices from the Android and iOS stores.

Direct subscribers can access the service for RM54.90 ($13.35) for three months, while Astro will offer package deals. Each registered account can support two concurrent streams, and the majority of content is available for download on mobile and tablet. ....

The Walt Disney Co. s flagship streaming service will become available in the Southeast Asian country on June 1.
Disney+ Hotstar is expanding its footprint in Southeast Asia. The Walt Disney Co. said Tuesday that its flagship direct-to-consumer streaming channel will launch on June 1 in Malaysia.
Local consumers will be able to subscribe directly to Disney+ Hotstar for $13.36 (54.90 Malaysian ringgit) for three months, or through special packages with local TV provider Astro. The Malaysian offering of the streaming service will go live with over 800 films and 18,000 episodes, including titles from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Disney+ Originals. ....
