A burned underground storm drain pipe was discovered in the Skyhawk Open Space Area last Monday. Sean McNeil, the Deputy Director of Environmental Services for Santa Rosa Water, say the damaged pipe is located directly under portions of unpaved walking trails accessed off Fawn Drive south of Skyhawk Creek.
 
Engineering crews are currently assessing the damaged pipe. Closure signs and barricades have been installed in the Skyhawk Open Area since October of 2020 due to the Glass Fire.
