There is a great need for foster parents across North Carolina to give kids a place to call home, even more so during the pandemic.An Alamance County family recently provided a home for a baby who tested positive for Covid 19. The baby was in the hospital, it was an emergency situation and she needed a home for a couple months. Ginger and Scott Rhoads provided that temporary home.They are fairly new foster parents, so they said it was quite the experience. The baby is at a more permanent foster home now and the Rhoads are fostering a one year old son at home with their two biological daughters, Bella and Lyla Mae. “It was definitely a process and was hard to get used to but now he s not as much as a baby and he s older and we can play with him and he’s part of our family now, said Lyla Mae. FCC Hits Montana Man with $9.9M Fine for Racist Robocalls Targeting Black Politicians


The FCC has fined a Montana man $9.9 million for making thousands of racist and threatening robocalls.
Scott Rhodes, 51, reportedly targeted Black and Jewish politicians, as well as a murder victim’s family, and attempted to influence a jury in a murder case against a neo-Nazi, per Business Insider India. 
Rhodes reportedly used an online platform to manipulate caller ID so the calls, made from different states in 2018, appeared to be from local numbers. The reportedly used a technique known as “neighbor spoofing.” 
“The law is clear: Spoofed caller ID robocalls used with the intent to defraud, cause harm, or cheat recipients is unlawful. And the American people are sick and tired of it,” Ajit Pai, the FCC chairman at the time, said in the January 14 announcement of the fine. ....

A former native of Idaho and Montana resident has been fined $9.9 million for allegedly producing thousands of recorded phone messages over the span of the past three years. The individual who received the fine has alleged ties to a white supremacy group.
(FCC) has fined a 51-year-old Montana resident more than $9 million for his roll in allegedly producing, and sending, more than 30,000 messages over the telephone to residents in multiple states, according to details shared at msn.com. The calls, in which nearly 5,000 were distributed between May and December of 2018 alone, were deemed unlawful and threatening, according to msnnews.com. ....
