Unofficial by-polls results: PML-N leads on 3 seats, PTI on one

ISLAMABAD/NOWSHERA: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz a component of the 10-party PDM was leading in the by-election held in two constituencies each of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday, with violence marring the electoral exercise in NA-75, Sialkot-IV Daska leading to death of two workers and injuries to eight others.
Although the results were not officially declared by the Election Commission, PML-N workers began celebrating. PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz thanked God and shared what she claimed was the complete result obtained despite massive, blatant rigging . All the four seats had fallen vacant due to the death of lawmakers. The PML-N was leading in two constituencies of Punjab and one constituency of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These four constituencies are NA-75, Sialkot-IV Daska, PP-51 Gujranwala I, NA-45 Kurram I and PK-63 Nowshera III. ....

SIALKOT/NOWSHERA: While poll-related violence claimed lives of two persons in Punjab, the victory of a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate from a stronghold of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa came as a big surprise for the ruling party as it failed to retain the provincial assembly seat it won in 2018.
Polling for by-elections on two National Assembly seats, in Daska (NA-75) and Kurram tribal district (NA-45), and as many provincial constituencies, in Gujranwala (PP-51) and Nowshera (PK-63), was held on Friday amid a supercharged environment with traditional rivals contesting against each other. ....

PML-N, JI cry foul in PP-51 - Newspaper

GUJRAT: The PML-N and JI leaders blamed police for foul play aimed at causing a low turnout of voters during the polling process in various areas of PP-51, Wazirabad, where by-poll was held on Friday.
Police also raided the houses of PML-N active workers early in the morning in various parts of the constituency and detained many of them. Few of them were later released after the senior party leaders lodged a strong protest against the police through social media posts.
Sohdra, a small town near Wazirabad, is known for being a stronghold of the PML-N and was the main target of the authorities as two former councillors belonging to the PML-N were picked up by the police from their houses in the wee hours of Friday after breaking into their houses. They were set free later in the day. Similarly, arrests were reported from other parts of the constituency. ....
