Mars is having a busy month with three missions scheduled to arrive at the red planet this February. The first of these is the United Arab Emirates' Hope probe which has sent recently sent back its first close-up image of Mars. The Hope probe has captured a few images of Mars as it progressed on its 200+ day journey. On February 9, after 493 million km travelled, the probe successfully entered Mars' orbit. This makes the United Arab Emirates.

The UAE became first Arab country and fifth in the world to reach the Mars after the Hope Probe successfully entered the Red Planet’s orbit on Tuesday.
Dr Raja Al Gurg, President of the Dubai Business Women’s Council (DBWC) told Gulf Today that the UAE’s successful mission to the Red Planet marks a new dawn in the Emirati and Arab space exploration journey and represents a catalyst to the creative abilities of the UAE and Arabs peoples.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces met in Dubai to discuss the Hope Probe’s latest development.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid took to Twitter and said, “Today I met my brother Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed… We discussed a group of homeland issues… and we informed Sarah Al Amiri, President of the Emirates Space Agency, about the team’s latest preparations for the arrival of the Hope probe to Mars on February 9 after a flight of 493 million km.
Fog continues across UAE, heavy traffic on key roads

The police also urged drivers to follow the instructions shown on smart boards installed on various roads.
Heavy fog affected visibility across the UAE on Thursday morning, prompting the authorities to reduce speed limit on some major roads.
The fog also caused huge tailbacks on Sharjah-Dubai roads. Motorists experienced heavy traffic on Al Ittihad Road and Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road. The Sharjah Police urged drivers to take caution while driving in unstable weather conditions.
Earlier in the morning, the Abu Dhabi Police announced speed limit reduction on major roads from and towards the Capital to 80kmph. On its official Twitter page, the police said speed reduction system had been activated on Mohammed Bin Rashid road (Abu Dhabi - Dubai, Maktoum Bin Rashid road (Abu Dhabi – Dubai), AbuDhabi-Al Ain Road (Al Mafraq - Al Khaznah and Sweihan-Al Hiyar)

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and King Abdullah II of Jordan, have reviewed several regional and international developments and prospects of further consolidating the fraternal relations between the two nations.
During the meeting held on Saturday at Al Shati Palace, Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed and the Jordanian monarch discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in the best interest of the two peoples.
