Roswell Farmers and Artisans Market finds new home

ROSWELL, Ga. â The Roswell Farmers and Artisans Market has moved to Roswell Presbyterian Church. The market had been located at the City Hall grounds since 2010 when the city agreed to partner with market organizers, Market Manager Sherri Schreiner said. Up till recently, the city had placed a moratorium on special event permits and in-person meetings because of the COVID pandemic. âWhen we found out that we were not going to be able to have our market this year, we were stunned,â Schreiner said. âThe reasons we got were COVID-related but didn t make a lot of sense since we were allowed to operate last year.â

Roswell to resume in-person meetings, issue event permits in April

HENRY Mayor Lori Henry lifted the moratorium on permits and resumed in-person meetings as the number of coronavirus cases has decreased and as the vaccine rollout is underway. I have been monitoring the numbers from the Georgia Department of Health and the Fulton County Health Department daily, and all of the numbers are steadily coming down,â Henry said in a statement. âIn just the last few weeks, Roswellâs COVID cases have decreased by almost 50 percent, and since January, cases in Fulton County and the state are down about 64 percent. COVID-19 safety measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be mandatory. Organizations applying for permits must agree to require masks, take temperatures and implement social distancing measures and those in attendance must follow those protocols.
