Posted5/27/2021 2:41 PM Waubonsee Community College announces its 2021 Distinguished Alumnus Award recipient: Indigo Debra Triplett. A U.S. Marine veteran, Triplett possesses more than 20 years of experience successfully owning and operating businesses in the United States and Malaysia.
Triplett graduated from Waubonsee in 1988 with an associate of arts degree. She continued her education earning a bachelor s, master s, and doctoral degree while continuing to work full-time. In 1997, Triplett founded Careers in Transition Inc. and was recognized as a Top 500 Fastest-Growing Companies in America by Inc. Magazine in 2012 and 2013, and top 1,000 in 2014. ....

Posted4/26/2021 3:18 PM Brian Olson of St. Charles, a military cybersecurity expert, has been named April s Featured Alumnus at Waubonsee Community College. Giving back to support the community that nurtured your learning and development into adulthood is one of the most fulfilling things one can achieve. Olson is not only a success story for the community college education system, but he is also giving back by serving as a member of an advisory council for Waubonsee s new Cybersecurity Program as an alumnus. Olson was recognized by the college s board of trustees at their regularly scheduled meeting on April 21. ....
