Updated Apr 25, 2021, 6:06 am IST Director Gopichand Malineni shares his experience of visitomg Saraswata Niketanam, 100 year old library in Vetapalem town Gopichand Malineni checks at the library Recently , director Gopichand Malineni visited the Saraswata Niketanam library in Vetapalem town in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh to do research for a film with Nandamuri Balakrishna, and ended up being captivated by the 100-year-old institution. “I felt like I visited a temple,” says the filmmaker, adding that he spent around four hours in the heritage institution. At the library, Gopichand got to see a newspaper brought out on the day India won Independence – August 15, 1947. “I felt so nostalgic,” he said. ....

The director is now all geared up to research for his next film which will also be based on true incidents like his previous one. His next will be with Nandamuri Balakrishna, who’s currently shooting for Akhanda with Boyapati Srinu. He took to social media to reveal that he head to an old library in Vetapalem for the research. Sharing pictures that see him looking through old newspaper clippings, he wrote, “Glad to visit..One of the oldest n big library in #vetapalem..Saraswata Niketanam..felt like visiting a temple #knowledgeispower.” (sic) The library is touted to be a hundred years old and looks like Gopichand has something exciting planned for his next too.
