White House Reporters Gush Over Jen Psaki: 'Pleasant, Lovely'

Members of the White House press corps made the remarks for a Washingtonian report published on Wednesday, which honed in on the “awkward feeling of rooting” for the spokesperson reporters are general expected to scrutinize. “She takes questions from everybody,” chief ABC News Washington correspondent Jon Karl mused to the publication. “She doesn’t get rattled. She doesn’t lose her cool.” “She’s a pro, you know?” chief New York Times White House correspondent Peter Baker added. “She’s like any other competent, professional, pleasant, lovely press person from any other era,” added a White House reporter who wasn’t named. The reporter said Psaki had a “sunny” demeanor that made reporters “feel good about their interactions,” adding, “She’s never going to be super-helpful, and that’s frustrating, but that’s kind of her job. It’s one of those weird things where you leave the process feeling good about it even though, when you han

Tapper to Anita Dunn: Hey, why is Biden still wearing a mask outdoors?

AP Photo/Patrick Semansky Anita Dunn, a senior adviser to Joe Biden, was interviewed by CNN’s Jake Tapper Sunday morning. On State of the Union, it was painfully clear that she is out of practice in doing cable news Sunday morning shows. The interview was a hot mess, to put it bluntly. Dunn looked to be ill-prepared to answer some really basic questions, questions she surely should have known would arise. She’s no political neophyte, she was acting White House Communications Director from April through November 2009 in the Obama administration. Communication is supposed to be her area of expertise. Perhaps it is their shared references to Chinese communist dictator Mao Zedong that brings her into Biden’s inner circle in the White House. Her job is to make Biden appear to be in control and competently leading the free world. It’s a big task.

29 Apr 2021 On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Ayman Mohyeldin Reports,” White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield stated that “we’ve made tremendous progress on the situation at the border” and “there’s a lot more to do, and I think what you heard from President Biden in his speech last night is his commitment to the long-term solution here.” Bedingfield said, “I think there has been tremendous progress at the border and I think it’s important for people to hear. So, what we’ve seen is that the number of kids who are in Border Patrol custody, which is the thing that a lot of the media was focused on over the course of February and March, the number of kids in these Border Patrol facilities, the number of kids was, in mid-March, at about 5,000. And now, as of this week, it’s under 1,000. The Biden administration has moved quickly to move these kids out of Border Patrol facilities. We’re now, the average time that a kid is spending in a Bord

Biden to urge epic fight against inequality in Congress address

Biden to urge epic fight against inequality in Congress address World April 29, 2021 Washington: President Joe Biden will unveil a nearly $2 trillion spending plan to boost the middle class Wednesday as the highlight of a sunny, yet audacious speech to Congress signaling the Democrat’s desire to reshape America. Speaking to a joint session of Congress on the eve of his 100th day in office, Biden will hail what on Tuesday he called stunning success in vaccinating Americans a national effort that has transformed the country from coronavirus catastrophe to leader in global recovery. But with solid approval ratings and a Democratic majority albeit razor thin in Congress, Biden feels he has momentum on his side to tackle politically difficult challenges.
