Defund the police.then arm ourselves
I agree that we should defund the police. We don’t need police officers enforcing our laws randomly among the populace which some say is inherently racist. I am okay with that, as long as we relax the laws for open or concealed carry of a firearm. Let’s make sure that every person has the right to arm themselves with lethal force so they can protect their property, family and livelihood. Seems like a fair trade off to me. ....

Karajarri Nyangumarta man Stephen Stewart has defied all the odds to keep his culture alive for more than a century.

The life expectancy for Indigenous men is 71.6 years of age, but Mr Stewart may be as old as 109.
That makes him the oldest Aboriginal man still alive in West Australia s Pilbara region, if not the entire country. ....

Republicans in the Iowa Senate approved an amendment to the Iowa Constitution that would undermine a woman’s right to an abortion on Tuesday. Senate Joint Resolution 2 passed on a party-line vote, with all Senate Republicans voting in favor and all the chamber’s Democrats voting against it.
“Everyone deserves the freedom to make medical decisions based on their own specific conditions and circumstances,” Sen. Amanda Ragan, a Democrat from Mason City, said during the debate on SJR 2 before the vote. “For the first time ever, the amendment would take away basic rights instead of protecting them.” ....

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â When Lisa Thompson left the United States Air Force, the Clinton, Missouri, woman realized how much she relied on the structure and camaraderie of the military.
Five years ago, she discovered Team Rubicon, a nationwide volunteer agency geared toward giving veterans a chance to use the skills they learned in the military while helping communities recover from natural disasters.
