Understanding that various communities have already developed a plan for vaccinating homebound individuals in their area, the partnerships established by the State are to merely supplement and allow these efforts to continue at the local level. TUESDAY UPDATES: Missouri partnerships help homebound residents to get COVID-19 vaccines DHSS Central Jackson County Fire District, Captain Paramedic, Nathan Manley is providing vaccination to a homebound resident. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) is working with other statewide agencies to help homebound adults have a streamlined and accessible vaccination experience across the state. The homebound referral process begins with the Area Agencies on Aging who help identify homebound residents. Adults who are homebound and want to be vaccinated in their home can register through their local Area Agency on Aging or through the Missouri Vaccine Navigator registry by indicating they are homebound.

View Comments Springfield-area people have their chance to promote herd im-MOO-nity at outreach COVID-19 vaccine clinics to be held at public park facilities in the next eight weeks, a Springfield-Greene Park Board spokesperson said Monday morning. Clinics are coming soon to taxpayer-owned locations like Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park, Dickerson Park Zoo and the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden. To sweeten the deal for folks getting their arms jabbed, special incentives are available for people who get vaccinated at a park board location. They include free admission to facilities on the days clinics are held, for those who choose to get vaccinated, Park Board spokesperson Jenny Fllmer Edwards said Monday. Similar givebacks include a thank-you card that offers a variety of discounts for park board services like boat rentals, Edwards said. The Dunklin County clinic will be a drive-thru clinic at the Malden Airport on Wednesday, May 19 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s for anyone 18 years old or older who wishes to receive their first or second dose of the Moderna vaccine. State launches Spanish language version of Missouri Vaccine Navigator Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services JEFFERSON CITY, MO – The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) launched the Spanish language version of the Missouri Vaccine Navigator, a secure registry tool to assist Missourians in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. To further assist non-English speaking individuals, additional languages will be offered soon. All Missourians over the age of 16 are now eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccine. (Pfizer is the only vaccine authorized for those aged 16-17).  Approximately 750,000 Missouri residents are currently registered in Missouri Vaccine Navigator, which is powered by Qualtrics. The system allows individuals to register and schedule an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine by viewing vaccination events throughout the state.
