Ajagun: Cape Town City set to sign former Nigeria under-20 captain - report

Ajagun would be following in the footsteps of his compatriot Victor Obinna, who joined City in September 2017.
Former Nigeria international Obinna failed to make an impact at City as he netted just once in 12 PSL matches and he was released by the Citizens in February 2018.
Ajagun is a well-travelled player having started his career at Dolphins FC where he won the 2010/11 Nigerian Premier League title.
The diminutive player was then snapped up by Greek side Panathinaikos FC ahead of the 2013/14 campaign and he scored on his official debut against Platanias.
Ajagun helped Panathinaikos clinch the Greek Cup in his first season and the team also finished second in the Greek Super League in 2014 and 2015. ....

Owerri, Jan. 2, 2021 His lordship, Most Rev. Victor Obinna, Catholic Archbishop of Owerri, thanks security agencies for the release of Auxiliary Bishop of Owerri, Most Rev. Moses Chikwe and his driver, Ndubuisi Robert from their abductors.
The archbishop in a statement in Owerri on Saturday also commended the governments of Imo and Abia for their proactive efforts which led to the release of the duo late Friday, Jan.1, 2021.
He also thanked the Pope Francis and the entire Catholic faithful around the globe for mentioning the bishop in their prayers.
Naija247news reports that Chikwe was abducted alongside Robert on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020 , at World Bank Housing Estate, Owerri, Imo. ....

Gunmen kidnap Catholic Bishop in Imo
The Catholic bishop was kidnapped in Owerri, the Imo capital.
Gunmen have kidnapped the Auxiliary Bishop of Owerri Catholic Archdiocese in Imo State, Moses Chikwe.
PREMIUM TIMES learnt that the bishop was kidnapped at the World Bank area of Owerri, the state capital.
He was reportedly kidnapped on Sunday night alongside his driver whose name was not stated.
The bishop’s car and official regalia were later found near the Assumpta Cathedral in Owerri.
A statement released by the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria said the Archbishop of the Diocese, Victor Obinna, confirmed the kidnap. ....
