Andrea Palm is leaving her position leading the Wisconsin Department of Health Services to join the administration of President-elect Joe Biden.
Palm has been nominated to be deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, a development first reported by the Washington Post. Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers confirmed Palm s departure in a statement Monday, Jan. 18. ....

On Tuesday, former Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis Sr. announced that he’ll retire from the NFL after the 2020 season concludes.
Davis, 37, played 14 seasons with the Panthers from 2005 to 2018. He spent the following season in Los Angeles with the Chargers.
The 16-year NFL veteran joined the Washington Football Team this season, reuniting with former Panthers head coach Ron Rivera.
Davis said Sunday’s final regular-season game against the Philadelphia Eagles will be his last. A win on Sunday can extend the season into the playoffs. ....

Federal officials are disappointed to find that the monoclonal antibody drugs they ve shipped across the country aren t being used rapidly.
These drugs are designed to prevent people recently diagnosed with COVID-19 from ending up in the hospital.
