Channel Seven s popular AFL show The Front Bar has been cleared of any wrongdoing after an investigation by the TV advertising watchdog.
The Ad Standards Community Panel investigated the program, hosted by Mick Molloy, Sam Pang, Andy Maher and Andy Lee, after a viewer complained about an episode that aired on Thursday, June 3.
The viewer alleged the broadcast breached the Australian Association of National Advertisers Code of Ethics by failing to disclose the show was made in partnership with a beer company.

The latest round of determinations from the Ad Standards Community Panel found that advertising by Singtel Optus, Honey Birdette, and Doordash all breached the Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA) Code of Ethics.
An advertisement by Optus featuring a forklift operator navigating a forklift drew complaints on the safe operation of such heavy machinery.
A sample of comments provided by Ad Standards about the ad for Optus’ Business Connect Plans, which ran across on-demand television, suggested: “A forklift should never be driven in this manner. It is extremely dangerous to leave the forks in the air as it could cause an accident. Forks should always be lowered to the ground. ....

Brands including Adidas Australia, Bondi Boost, ORTC Clothing and Hennes & Mauritz UK Ltd are at the centre of recent breaches of Ad Standards under distinguishable advertising rules.
The Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA) Code of Ethics’ was updated with new distinguishable advertising rules earlier this year, among multiple changes to the code.

Tourism NT has discontinued an online advertisement after Ad Standards ruled it depicted a breach of Australian Road Rules and the AANA Code of Ethics.
Ad Standards received complaints about the advertisement, which featured a still image of a woman leading out the passenger-side window of a vehicle looking backwards.
The original post was accompanied by the text ‘Travel off-the-beaten-track Sponsored by Tourism NT’.
