Ford s Anton De Pasquale has claimed the first two pole positions of his Supercars career for today s two races at Tailem Bend 9 May 2021
De Pasquale claimed two poles inside a half hour by topping the timesheets in both of the 10-minute qualifying runs.
He ll be joined by Will Davison on the front row of the grid in about an hour, while Jamie Whincup qualified second for the final race of the weekend which goes just after 6pm.
Kiwi Andre Heimgartner - fresh off his first Supercars win yesterday - will start fourth for the first race of the day and 14th for the second.
It capped a day that started horribly when he was hit in the rear of his Mustang in a multi-car incident on the opening lap of race one, a moment which also ended the races of Mostert and Macauley Jones. Dick Johnson Racing s Will Davison finished third for his second podium of the day, having finished second behind teammate Anton De Pasquale in the day s first race.
