The app will be available for public use in September on Play Store. People from the Mudiraj community can fill in their details in the app and get their caste certificate. The mobile app, developed under the supervision of Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala, earned appreciation from the guest at the event. ....
Healthcare workers demonstrate to press their demands in Vadodara VADODARA: Covid-19 patients had to face a tough time on Tuesday as nurses and in-service doctors in Vadodara joined the state-wide strike to protest against transfer of their state office-bearers. At a time when Vadodara, like other regions of the state, was reeling under the impact of cyclone Tauktae, at least two dozen Covid-19 patients were shifted from referral hospitals and community health centres from rural areas like Dabhoi and Savli because of the flash strike. From Dabhoi referral hospital and community health centre alone nearly 19 Covid-19 patients were shifted to Vadodara’s GMERS Medical College and Hospital, Gotri and isolation centres at Thuvavi and Darul Uloom as all the 11 nurses had joined the strike leaving nobody to attend the patients. ....
The injured nurse is being taken to hospital for treatment VADODARA: A pregnant nurse working at the GMERS Gotri Hospital had a narrow escape when shards of glass fell on her from a panel on the seventh floor. The panel had come off due to heavy winds triggered by the cyclone. The incident took place when the nurse was passing on the road below a building of the hospital. The glass panels of the building had started coming loose due to heavy winds. Some of these fell inside a ward while the remaining came crashing down on the ground below, on the nurse. She was rushed to the casualty department of the hospital and given first aid. ....
Vadodara: Cyclone Tauktae has kept authorities on their toes even as the city and the district started witnessing a change of weather due to its impact. In view of the cyclone alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department and directives issued by chief minister Vijay Rupani, the district administration issued instructions to ensure interrupted oxygen supply to Covid-19 designated hospitals. The state government had asked each district to form urgent rapid response teams while asking them to take action with zero casualty approach. Directives were also issued to the department of roads and buildings and forest department to ensure that the communication network, roads and power supply are maintained properly, and power supply is quickly restored if it is affected by falling of trees or otherwise affected by the cyclone. ....
