EU seeks to ban ‘unacceptable’ uses of artificial intelligence

Brussels will rein in the use of unacceptable artificial intelligence (AI) that tracks people and rates their behaviour, while proposing fines up to 6% of a company s turnover for violations, as part of first-of-its-kind AI rules announced on Wednesday.
