The manhunt has ended in the search for the killer of his 32-year-old girlfriend Tuesday night in her apartment on Clifford Avenue in Watsonville.
Alberto Scalant, 33, was arrested in Mexico after he allegedly stabbed and killed his girlfriend.Sign up for our Newsletters
Watsonville Police have not released any additional information about the victim.
In a news release, investigators say Scalant has a lengthy arrest record and has served a prison sentence for domestic violence.
It’ll take a few days before he’s extradited from Mexico to Santa Cruz County where he’ll face murder charges.
